Everyone who has trained alongside and sparred Algieri (including the likes of Maidana, Robert Garcia, Mikey Garcia and John Molina Jr) have spoken about how he lives, trains and breathes boxing all year. They speak about him highly and mention he has very good boxing skills and is underrated. However, just because of the fashion in which he lost to the second best fighter of this era, he is talked about as a joke. He beat Provodnikov who may be limited but you have to go through hell to beat. He also schooled Emmanuel Taylor who beat the guy "who gives Floyd his first loss" in Karim Mayfield :haha: and I fancy him to beat guys like Broner and can see him being a top contender.
Even when he lost to Khan, many people say it's Khan being bad rather than Chris being good. John David Jackson also said Chis has good power but never planted his feet. He KO'd 7 sparring partners in camp for Khan and now he isn't traine by a Kickboxer, he is finally out of his cage. War Algieri!
Here he is sparring Maidana:

He actually handles Maidana well tbh
Yeah, keep hiding behind alphabet orgs when they suit you.
Give me an example of when I've hidden behind it.
You're just too simple to understand the difference. You think mentioning a belt is the same as saying Collazo is top 10 in the WW division because he's ranked with the WBO
:lol1:
You seriously need to pay attention to boxing fans more. There were at least a dozen videos on ESNews alone saying Algieri would win.
Wow you are genuinely retarded. Check my Youtube channel out (deathdevice1212) it's been there for like 5 years and it's all Matthysse, not a single Khan video and half a million views. The only time I've posted about Khan is arguing with you. You know nothing about me but I guess that theory sounds correct in your head. All you ever talk about is Khan so I think you need to take a look in the mirror bud before you ,claim the whole world is for Khan.
A whole dozen?
I don't need to check your youtube vidoes. I've seen you post here and it's all about defending Khan. It's clear as day.
Yeah I talk about Khan - but at least I'm doing it openly, unlike you.
If he did not Earn fight fans respect in the Khan fight then I don't know what more he has to do. Khan fight made me a fan and it is amazing what he learned and picked up from training with John David Jackson and that was from just training with him for some weeks
Well, I wouldn't say unfairly. He got the Pacquiao fight on the tails of winning a questionable hometown decision against a fan-favorite fighter. And then went on to get completely embarrassed in a sham of a PPV event. What was there to like?
But he looked real good against Amir Khan, and there's a lot of fights at Top Rank for him in the future. I'd love to see him against Jessie Vargas, Tim Bradley or Brandon Rios.
(However, something like Algeri vs "Crack Pipe" Mike Alvarado is far more likely)
As a neutral observer I believe he beat Khan by one or two points. So I give him credit. Chris has only been beaten once and that was to a pound for pound elite fighter. If Chris is well managed he could still do well in his career.
How come algieri is not on your list of favorite fighters?
Favourite is a big adjective. Maybe if he continues to impress and actually starts winning. I'll give him credit but it takes a lot more to become one of my "favourite fighters". Very prestigious award lol
Yes I believe Algieri is treated unfairly by fans. He got beat by the best fighter of this generation and gave a very tough fight to Amir Khan. A fight that could have gone either way in my opinion but I have no trouble with Amir getting the W.
Algieri for having no amateur boxing experience and picking up Boxing at 23 has done phenomenally well, all things considered. I believe that he will continue to improve and get top quality wins.
Mate, you followed me into a thread about Paul Butler and Kal Yafai to have a random and very odd dig at Brook facing Skeete. You're absolutely all over the place.
I get it. Khan is the biggest embarrassment in the sport right now and you're lashing out wherever you can.
Ultra weird.
Emotions are pouring out of that post.
I only quoted you in this thread.
Stop being so delusional thinking people are having a go at you, which is weird especially given the character assassination crusade you've mounted against me since, Khan-Algieri and obsession is psyho-analyzing my "posting pattern over the summer".
Please have a look in the mirror and check in to the nearest detox center.

You're obsessed. Stop following me around threads trying to get my attention. It's over. I was never the Khantard you wanted me to be and you're hurt about it. Move on, Cox-Orifice.

Cox-Orifice is very hurt.
Attacking me in a thread about Butler vs Yafai now :lol1:
Referring to me as "some guy", can't even say my name - bro you sound like a jilted ex-girlfriend.
Khan-Algieri could easily have been a draw. Get over it.

Keep putting it in caps, that makes it a fact :lol1:
"Come on now" - this kid is pleading with me not to have my own opinion. Just like he pleaded with me in PMs not to respond to "Khan haterz" :lol1:
You're in such an emotional state that you're randomly attacking Froch in a thread about GGG-Lara.
"Khantards assemble!"
"Come on now" I'm asking you to stop stooping that low asking strangers on net for approval "oh plz look at me I'm a real fan I hate Khan now".
And you got on your knees obediently as if I'm Giroud, no leg to stand on now, literally. :lol1:
Mate, you're the one who is such an emotional wreck over this Froch situation that you're attacking GGG/Ward or anyone critical of Carl in the Lara thread. The irony isn't lost.
Where is that "I'm a boxing fan more" Dirk who lectured me on how a real fan criticizes when its due. Froch is embarrassing himself so badly over Ward and GGG, "too big too strong", well then fight him or retire, yet all I hear are roaring crickets.
It was NOT a Draw. Come on now, stop hiding behind the word, subjective.

How can you make a declarative statement about something which is subjective?
It was NOT a Draw. Come on now, stop hiding behind the word, subjective.
It was a very close fight and many people have said it could have been a draw or even an Algieri win. Khan looked absolutely horrible in the fight.
That is an exaggeration because Algieri was being regarded so low that the fact he did well, automatically made him a winner in people's eyes. A lot like Mayweather-Maidana 1.
Where did I get personal? lol wut. I struck a nerve with you just because I thought Algieri could have got a draw against Khan.
An opinion that is far from outlandish. Didn't mean to hurt you. I'm sorry that I made you cry.
The whole sucking on Algieri's you know what. Really lame. Does that even count as bantz?
And what does that one random comment even prove? As soon as Khan-Algieri was announced, you wrote up a full blown love story about Chris :lol1:
And now Salim has now done the same after the fight.
Did you PM him and tell him to? I know all Khantard related activity has to go through you.
The fact that its random (on top of timeline of the event) only adds to my argument's credibility. It shows I held Algieri in good regards wayyyy before there was even a slight consideration of him boxing Khan.
I'll mail your instructions all the way to Leeds. You're that obedient.
It was NOT a Draw by any stretch. 115-113 was good.
How can you make a declarative statement about something which is subjective?

Box-Office in June, 2014, 10 months-ish before the fight was signed:
Dirk getting personal, obviously struck a nerve there. Emotional.
