He has the build to be a tough guy but I haven't seen Joshua hit cleanly yet, at least I don't think he has.
Has anyone chin checked Joshua with something solid?
I just watched the Johnson fight and Johnson had NOTHING for the kid.
There is huge hype for Joshua, but he has done nothing.
It is not his fault or even Matchroom's.
The real problem is the lack of depth in the HW division and lack of competitive fighters.
It's the Deontay Wilder scenario - take a good, tall athlete over 200lbs and teach him to box.
Manage him carefully and count the $$$'s.
Jesus Christ he beats up 13 tomato cans and you are ready to anoint him the champion of the entire division, haha. Man Eddie Hearn must love fans like you, talk about an easy sell.
I was thinking the exact same thing. That guy is delusional beyond belief :lol1:
He's been hit, but by lesser opposition. I think all that is irrelevant though...bottom line is AJ will eat any active heavyweight out there. He will literally dismantle anything with maybe the exception of Wladmir. Wlad would put up a fight but would still be taken out in 6.

Yeah sorry, dropped him. Joshua recovered pretty quick too.
Nistor was the one who stopped him. Good puncher, caught Joshua with two very big shots, and Joshua took a standing 8 for each of them before being waved off.

IMO his chin is not proven either way.
From the 2nd KD you could see he has no experience. He was wide open for that left hand.
Yeah I agree.
I don't think Whyte stopped him btw, just dropped him.
The guy who stopped him was Romanian, can't remember his name. There's a video of it on youtube I think

Its worth noting that as an amateur he was fighting world class opposition after only stepping into a boxing gym a few years before. The Whyte stoppage was in his second Am fight (Whyte was an experienced kickboxer before boxing).
As a heavyweight his chin will most likely only be as good as his defence is. Some have great chins obviously but most will be dropped/stopped if they are caught flush.
I feel he needs to face someone soon who will throw back at him with intent, it cant be good for developing your defence when all your opponents are shelled up. Hearn mentioned Arreola, and I think thats a great opponent.
That's true about heavyweight. Anyone can get stopped no matter how good your chin is. It's only notable if you have a Seth Mitchell chin that's so bad you can't take any punches.

Joshua has been dropped and stopped as an amateur, but I think he has at least a decent chin, based on just gut feeling.

Nope. Dillian Whyte dropped him like a sack of sh1te in the amateurs though. I'd like that fight next. AJ gets worked up every time his name is mentioned.
This ^^^^^^.
