I know people talk about how how Golovkin is to big for Floyd and it potentially being a big fight if ggg could beat cotto for the MW Crown. mayweather likes to have the the upperhand and cant blame him. So my question is would anyone be ok with a catchweight of 158(ggg usually weighs in at 159) and a rehydration limit of 170 24hrs after initial weigh in?
explain...
What's there to explain? First of all, he's not a big WW. Secondly, where are all these challenges, and please don't bring up someone two weight divisions higher?
my question is, if floyd is such a small WW like the groupies say, then why does he neevr reveal fight night weight?? I think he doesn't reveal it because he is bigger than people think he is, but if people saw that they would tell him to move up and fight bigger challenges. There simply is no other explanation why he refuses to reveal fight night weight
If i were talking about ggg droping to 154 to fight him for floyds jmw title sure but my point is if floyd choses to move up and take of golovkin for the MW crown what would people be reasonable for floyd to ask for withought seriously handicaping Tripple g
I do not believe in conditions or catchweights in title fights. Either you can make the weight specified for that division or you can't.
I would love that. GGG weighed 170 going into the ring against Monroe so a rehydrating limit of 170 is no problem at all for GGG. Let's face reality. Mayweather will never fight GGG under any circumstances so why worry about a fight that will never happen. I believe GGG would knock Mayweather out at a limit of 154 just as he knocked out his last 20 opponents. Easy work.
He is a big welterweight. Come on Floydie quit fooling the public. Take a challenge like all the greats did before you.
You really are clueless aren't you?
Floyd certainly isn't a big welterweight. In the top 10, the only ww smaller is pac.
With all them steroids Floyd looks 160 at fight time why doesn't he weigh himself fight night ? I'll tell you ,to have idiots like you saying he weighs 150

Phuck all these Catchweight Boys

Exactly and the reason why he can't do it especially given the time table he's being presented with is because it's almost* impossible for him to put on roughly 11 pounds of lean muscle in a years time without some "help"... If Mayweather were to make a catchweight of 158 and was still as defined as he is, that would turn heads in a serious way. The more likely scenario is he comes in at 150-154 tops and goes against a guy that is going to weigh 158 at the weight in and 170+ the next day ... And somehow this is a fair fight.
*i don't like to say things are impossible especially when I'm not exactly a fitness trainer.

Let it go. Floyd is a 38 year old welterweight.

So you are asking GGG to weigh in at maybe a pound less than usual and then rehydrate to his usual fight weight? You do realize that Golovkin has offered to drop to 154 for that fight, don't you? And that Floyd could NEVER reach 158? I don't see the point to your thread.
