Why do people demand Floyd fight the toughest opposition out there but not Pacquiao?

Yup this post was ether, but you let yourself down here lad. But in all fairness, I've never heard Pac claim to be TBE or compare himself to the greats. I guess Floyd brings extra scrutiny towards his career when he proclaims accolades like that. 12:35 Manny has said he thinks he is the greatest, like I'm sure every professional fighter at one point in their career. Floyd haters like to run with it because they need w.e ammo they can gather. Can't wait to see how they spin this one. The humble, Manny Pacquiao thinks he is greater then Sugar Ray Robinson??

What I've learned is that you can indirectly tell who somebody thinks highly of, and who somebody is not so confident in. When fans want to see somebody challenged, it's because they think his skill level is out of this world. When fans make excuses for a fighter not to be challenged, they fear that he might lose.

Probably because Floyd calls himself 'TBE'. If you say you're better than Ali and Sugar Ray..people expect you to prove it somewhat. Every time.

Actively challenged the best of his day, called out Foreman when everyone said George would hurt him, possibly kill him. Floyds career is so calculated even in a weaker era. And outside of his hardcore fans he is the only calling himself TBE. Good marketing tool...maybe. But the point is he is the one that put it out there, he and his fans can't get made when people expect him to back up his words. Ali could fight every fighter in the Heavyweight division back then. He didn't have any "roadbocks" in the way like these fighters now have. Even with that being known, Floyd has fought every fighter that people have wanted him to fight (Oscar, Shane, Pac, Cotto, Hatton, Canelo) and beat them all. Who else is left? No one. Floyd won't be fully appreciated until he retires for good...I feel that people don't give him credit because he hasn't lost to anyone yet...

Why does Floyd have to fight the toughest and biggest guy out there at the age of 38 and not Manny Pacquiao, Why isn't anybody mentioning Thurman or Khan or Brook or Maidana or Canelo as potential opponents for Pacquiao? why is it that if Floyd doesn't fight even 1 of them everybody is gonna be like Floyd ducked him? I think Pacquiao's fans themselves gave up on Pacquiao becoming the best P4P fighter in the world again especially after he got outclassed on May 2nd, so they just wanna see him get his hands raised at the end of the fight regardless of who the opponent is. Magic Johnson went to nine NBA Finals in his 12 or so years with the LA Lakers...Russell won 11 NBA Championships...so yeah, folks can compare LeBron to those guys because those guys brought their teams to NBA Finals or titles in their day. The issue that many have with Floyd is that a lot of them haven't really seen him in a "challenging" fight. Maybe Hatton was one or Cotto was one, but there will always be those that say no about those fights. Mayweather is just as Triple H used to say "that...damn...good." As far as Pacquiao is concerned, he didn't do much at all in that fight and he was not going to do much regardless...His punch output has diminished over the years and that would not be a good thing against Floyd who had all of the advantages to begin with. Pac was going to get beat and a lot of people knew it, but some just wanted to see Floyd lose. He beat all the champions at welterweight since 2010, Mosley was the WBA champion and Floyd was the challenger, Ortiz was the WBC champion and Floyd was the challenger, Cotto was the champ and Floyd was the challenger, Guerrero was a champ like Floyd at the time, Canelo was the champ and Floyd was the challenger, Maidana was the WBA champion and Pacquiao was the WBO champion, who else could he have fought in the last 5 years? if he would've fought Alexander instead of Guerrero people would be like oh he ducked Guerrero, and same applies for all other opponents. Mosley KOs Margarito in 2009 Floyd fights Mosley and Pacquiao fights Margarito in 2010 and Pacquiao gets more credit even though he fought the loser, Margarito beats and cuts up Cotto Pacquiao fights shot Cotto and nobody says sh1t about fighting Margarito who actually won the fight and was also promoted by Arum, Mike Alvarado beats Brandon Rios, Pacquiao fights Rios instead of Alvarado, Joshua Clottey loses to Cotto, Pacquiao fights him fresh off the loss, and the list of CHERRY PICKED SHOT opponents goes on and on and ON, hell it goes back to 2005, Morales gets shut out by Zahir Raheem, Pacquiao fights Morales and nobody even mentions Zahir Raheem as a potential opponent and nobody in the media or none of the fans calls Pacquiao out on the BS, Floyd Mayweather would NEVER get away with fighting this crappy level of opposition! you don't have to guess, you just have to agree with this. If Floyd is really that good or TBE as he say he is and as his fans say he is. Then: He does not need Vegas or MGM as a venue, any place anywhere will do He does not need murican ref, any ref will do He does not need murican judges, any judge will do He does not nedd NSAC, any commission will do He does not need USADA, any drug testing agency will do, he does not need a guy who don't know red from blue, any guy will do. if Floyd is that good as he and his fans says he is He will beat all his opponent regardless of those mentioned above. And i think time will tell, but i don't see greatness in thurman, khan, brook, maidana, i don't think they're incredibly tough fights for pac or may. As long as either has something in the tank (although we are reaching the point where you start paying attention to that gauge, or your team does), a difference of level would be displayed in any of those fights. Secondly, when you call yourself the best ever (or your fans do), you can't b1tch about demands...it just doesn't make sense. Action fighters can fight whoever. Defensive fighters have to fight the best. Exactly. Pac is exciting, so he can make a fight out of going against defensive opponents. Floyd fighting another defensive fighter will put everyone to sleep. Very curious who Floyds final fight will be. I'd love for him to fight GGG, but thats unrealistic, and not that fair. If he fights one of the top Welters, like Thurman, or Khan, I'm more than fine with that. D. Garcia is also with Haymon, but I don't see that fight happening. Stylistic mismatch really.

Because bias is a big part of being a fan. The same people think Cotto should fight GGG, but don't seem to think Canelo needs to fight GGG. They get low I.Q. techincal about it citing, "but Cotto has a belt doe" as if Cotto wearing the belt, comes anywhere near Canelo's weight on the scales. It's all convenient fanboy bullshyt. "Yeah but, Cotto beat a cripple but doe somehow now I am going to pretend the win was legit doe so that I can spare Canelo from fighting at his real weight of 160lbs and sacrifice Cotto to GGG to buy me another 6 months doe of pretending Canelo is a warrior who will fight anyone doe..." Can't make this shyt up. In a fanboy world, Cotto "beat a cripple Sergio" and is not really a MW champ but he somehow is a MW champ, when we want to shield Canelo from fighting GGG. :boxing:
