All this ridiculous backlash and constant arguing amongst their fan base is sickening. Especially when you see it day in and day out. The inflated system (which is in their favor) is taking away from other talented, young prospects/prize fighters and in general is doing more harm than good. The sooner these guys retire the sooner the sport can get back to rebuilding its integrity. Good riddance to both!
Ummm, wasnt pac supposed to be that killer? but he ate a right hand in the first round and decided he would just try to survive and use an excuse to get a rematch. Even if his right hand was ok, he still would not be able to penetrate Floyd's defense. His right hand wouldnt be able to save him from floyds right hand jab, hook, check hook or any punch as he showed. He cant avoid getting hit by floyd, right arm or not.:nutkick:
Pac was wash up Thurman is young big difference
Boxing needs someone like Mike Tyson back. After the Maypac fight all the casuals were going off talking about how boxing is dead and they want a killer like tyson back
Maybe Floyd should fight Thurman on his last fight so maybe that can happen
I ready for the next generation for sure, I think it is more talent WORLD WIDE in Boxing than ever before. I respect both Men though because without them where the fuk would boxing Be for the last 10 Years or So?
One was the Hero, the other was the Villain and it was a very entertaining ERA and a ERA that watching Social Media and the Internet make a huge Impact on the Sport and helped both fighters earn a ton of money.
So :hail: to Mayweather and Pacquiao but it is time for the next ERA in Boxing!
I would say floyd and wlad.
Floyd is miles above everyone so itll make it more competitive
Wlad has dominated for long enough. Has all titles but 1. Pump some life into that division
It might already be better off without us knowing, give it some time. The guy that was suppose to beat Mayweather was made to look like an amateur and at the moment there isn't anyone casuals think can take Floyd. It's done already, this is a new chapter.
Yep.................
Manny has never been boring though. He was in a boring fight with Floyd and people act like its his fault. Yeah, he didnt really do much but he's never been boring while Floyd has always been boring! Right now, Maywearher and Klitschko need to retire and go away forever. Back to back fights of them hugging their opponents like bachata dancers is killing the sport.
Exactly :boxing::boxing::boxing:
my biggest gripe is that when they are choosing an opponent, everything else comes to a halt and other fights cant get made because everyone within 15 pounds either way is wanting that lottery ticket......
the sport needs floyd.....who else draws more money? the sport doesn't need p.ussies like #48, guys like #48 are wht' killing the sport.
By your way of thinking, movies like Transformers should win the Academy Award for best picture every year and books like 50 Shades of Grey should win the Nobel Prize for literature. Who cares about quality? It's only MONEY that is important! :nutkick:
The problem is that, everytime there has been a SUPED up mega fight in recent times, they all fall terrible short and turn out to be boring.
Look at the most recent, 3? "Super" fights if you want to call them and say you honestly weren't bored half to death.
1. Pac-May
2. May-Canelo
3. May-Oscar
Hmmm, maybe it's just 1 variable that is causing that, but still. The problem is that when all eyes are on the sport, it's not living up to the expectations and turning off the casual.
Of course they complain each time but pay for the next one, so what do I know?
Wow, I've never seen this in sports. Someone is blaming the winner for being too good. Only a fan of Manny would have the low self respect to actually suggest this.
Instead of challenging those men to fight harder and do what is necessary to win, you want Floyd to make it easier for them to win so you can be excited. I guess competing and doing your best against another man doing his best is no longer the way things are.
If you're great, fight down to the level of your opponents. Used to be you fought your best to make them raise their level. Maybe this is why boxing has so many problems.
To add, Arum already wants more than a 40% split in case of a rematch, the chapter is already over. It's all about Ward, Rigondeaux, Crawford, Golovkin, Canelo, Roman Gonzalez, Lomachenko, Kovalev-Stevenson and a HW division that's slowly picking up.
I understand being annoyed by the back and forth but wasn't this expected? This back and forth isn't gonna last. Mayweather likely racks up a couple of more victories that isn't gonna shake up the boxing world, Pacquiao is probably gonna suffer some TKO loses if he stays in this division and goes on for longer.

It will be better off when they both retire and Haymon is in prison or at the very lest out of the sport as well. THEN things will start to get better.
