Maidana getting talked up right now but he's the same guy who got shut out by Alexander and went life and death with Josesito Lopez. upper body movement, boxing at mid-range, setting traps, awkward rhythm, and punch variety are things that rios does not posses. going to war with each other in sparring means nothing, i'm comparing real fights. maidana has done better against much higher caliber opponents. i'm certain many knowledgeable boxing fans will disagree with you. and maidana got injured in the hip, lost a round or two, dominated the rest and stopped him inside 6... calling it life and death is a stretch.

Pacquiao UD, Maidana will get frustrated and won't be able to catch him. It'll be a tougher version of the Rios fight. I prefer Matthysse-Pacquiao, Lucas is a far more polished boxer and will pose a much bigger threat (yes I know Maidana beat him in the amateurs).

And the Alexander fight was years ago. Garcia has made him into a much better fighter.

rios is a one dimensional punching bag who can't do anything unless he's breathing down on your chest. we're talking about maidana who boxed floyd in the center of the ring and arguably took his 0 here. maidana has a big chance of upsetting pacquiao. I wouldn't mind this match-up at all, would be a good return bout for Pac.

ya would be a good fight im just not sure the styles will mesh the way you see it in your head. it will be maidana chasing pac around the ring with manny jumping in and out with flurries it wont be no toe to toe battle or manny would get knocked out

Nah i think Manny is kind of shot now. Maidana has a great chance of stopping him. Manny is a lot slower than he used to be and doesn't take punches as well as he used to

Lol when Maidana biting, kneeing, and rabbit punching Pacquiao causes an international incident.

Don't be surprised if this ended up similar to the Agapito Sanchez fight and Pacquiao starts losing his head. I got Pacquiao but he'll need to remain calm throughout and not get reckless. Also, if Maidana finds himself on the verge of being stopped he will foul.
