Roach held Manny back in that fight. 2 of the 3 or 4 strategies he had were as follows:
1)Counter over Floyds LEAD right hand and jab to the body with his straight left then proceed to combo. (See round 4 and 6 or 7 I believe)
2)Don't follow Floyd into the corners or against the ropes (that's the traps Freddie said he trained Manny to look for and that's why it looked so awkward to see Manny back off of Floyd when he had him against the ropes)
We paid to see if Floyd could deal with a relentless Pacquiao who could maintain that Maidana 1 type of attack for 12 rounds but instead we got a "Thinking" Pacquiao who looked confused and could only win 3 rounds that were pretty much given to him. I'm a Floyd fan but I have always wanted to see Floyd deal with an attack such as the one Glen Johnson stretched Roy Jones Jr with.
Oh and don't give me that BS injury story. I don't believe the doctor who confirmed it either due to the fact a doctor will say anything for money. For example, I just got a tint waver for my car, after paying an extra 65 bucks on top of the cost for an eye exam the doc wrote on my tint waver I had problems that I've never even heard of so I don't believe that for 1 second.

I agree. You can't teach a dog new tricks. A 'thinking' Pac actually damaged what he does best.
It was similar to when Hatton team up with Mayweather Sr. Hatton is used to swarming/brawling and now you're asking him to be a boxer puncher? WHen all know how that turned out.
Whether you are a Floyd fan or a Manny fan the TS analysis is garbage and deserves to be attacked.
Roach could never have beaten Mayweather with Pac. Just 2 different levels of fighters.
You attacking me on the net means nothing to me. You're a loser. Move along
Manny would have been knocked out like hatton if he did his usual rush in feet of the ground style.. Maidana is very strong.. was able to physically match and fight mayweathrr inside.. Pac can't fight inside..
Therefore pac can't implement a maidana/castillo like gameplan..
By telling pacquaio not to follow floyd and back off.. roach probably saved him from being stopped
Dumbest strategy ever
They made the same mistake that all do: try to box mayweather.
You can not box Floyd Mayweather. Nobody can.
The only way to have a little chance to beat mayweather is maidana 1 style high risk high reward.
Manny had that opportunity but they decided to box mayweather and fail miserably like everyone did in the past.
LMAO this thread is funny. Floyd dick riders attacking a fellow Floyd fan. Priceless.
Manny doesn't like needles so I highly doubt it...
LOL this garbage has got to stop. If Manny was simply afraid of needles then that would mean that he hasn't had any blood tests done for all his fights because this "fear" only popped up during the first negotiations. And there's no way in hell he hadn't had blood tests done in all of his previous fights.
What he was against to was getting blood drawn so close to the fight. Huge difference from being afraid of needles. Not even close. Whether it's all psychological (he feels he gets weak) or simply his superstition (because of losing to Morales when he had blood drawn again so close to the fight) he's the only one who really knows. Some may find it lame, I can't blame anyone for thinking that or feeling that way. But I've seen people with more weird and much lamer fears than that. Doesn't mean the fear isn't real.

He wasn't gonna use a needle. He was gonna use another cream this one better then the one used on his calves.. Preparation H 6plus LTE with aloe Vera
Despite the distraction regarding his rotator cuff injury, these are the things that really bothered me about Freddy and Manny's so called strategy:
- Manny used a double jab a few times that landed. Why did he stop doing that?
- Manny had some success throwing his left right over Floyd's jab. Why did he stop doing that?
- Manny had a terribly low punch output. Why?
- Manny did not push the action much at all, which really was his best chance to make the fight competitive. Again... why?

The injury is genuine you muppet. Your conspiracy theories are laughable.
The injury is bogus. Fvck pacquiao..... Even if it is real nobody gives a crap......plenty of fighters fight through injuries like this and win including Floyd, so fvck off.
WTF do you know about the sport to so flagrantly **** on it and one of it's better trainers.
Your evidence is garbage, take it to facebook. They just might believe it there.
Manny could have had god training him and giving him advice in between rounds, Floyd would have still beaten him anyway. Simply 2 different levels of fighters.:boxing:
I hate people that can't comprehend things.... such as yourself. Floyd is my favorite boxer and I'm glad that he won but clearly Mannys coaching sucked. Please don't come at me with all that sucker stuff internet warrior, you know nothing about boxing.
Boo hoo Manny lost. Stop crying.
bruh... I'm a Floyd fan... I'm glad Manny lost. Just putting it out there that the strategy robbed us of the fight we craved.
