Last night it seemed that all hope was lost.......no.....there is hope.
He's the one. He's the chosen one, in 48 and 1.
At 26 years old this young man seems to have it all.
He is an offensive prodigy from the throwback 1950's golden era of the ring.
Handsome, easy to listen too, the fan favorite.
Very likable, very alpha, very confident and oozes charisma
He is the catalyst for change. He is the sport's last hope and he will take us into the new era, the new generation, the new boxing.

Cotto's fighting Canelo, although I wouldn't be surprised if he fought Floyd for his MW title at a 155 catchweight :lol1:
Please no catchweight because it leaves the question of weakling the guy as the 152 catch weight against Canelo. Yea the Floydtards can say it doesn't matter. But as a former amateur boxer 1 pound can weaken you
If Canelo couldn't drop Floyd ,Thurman is not going to Thurman swings for the fences and leaves himself wide open for counters it would be a 12 to 0 shut out. Look Im hoping Mayweather loses but we don't have no Tommy Hearns, Leonards or Durans in this era. Is Floyd the best ever no , He's the best of his ERA thats the credit Ill give him
Keith is a good boxer but i just cant get behind him. His persona seems awkward and forced. He needs to step up the comp level. I want to see him vs a khan or maidana.
thurman is still green, imo. can't see him being effective much.
Manny Pacquaio did not do anything to warrant a rematch; he fought an uninspired one dimensional fight. He had a few moments few and far between but he was never able to build any momentum.
The boxing public won't accept a rematch; no one wants to see a massive letdown again. Better to have a new face like Kell Brook (why wouldn't he travel to Vegas for his biggest career payday??) or Keith Thurman
yep. also given how well floyd does in rematches, he likely wins a shutout, since manny couldn't even scrape together more than 2 rounds the first time. floyd figured him out quickly.
There are only 2 possible opponents for Floyd if he's fighting in September. Thurman or Brook.
Who else is realistically available? Khan can't fight in September.
I thought the Geale fight on HBO was contingent on Cotto fighting Alvarez? If so, he's not fighting Mayweather.
Thurman is unlikely to get the fight, but I guess it's possible.
Thurman is likely. Thanks to his match with Guerrero (a common Mayweather opponent) on free TV, he has gained enough recognition to be in the discussion.
Are this point it's (more than ever) all about money for Floyd, vacating his titles only proves it.
Pacquiao II would sell. I hope this fight won't get made though. I wanna see Floyd fight someone who actually uses their jab, so, like you, I'd like to see him fighting Brook or Thurman. Maybe even Khan.
To be honest, I don't see how this fight can sell after the massive letdown their first fight was. Typically rematches are made after where the first fight is competitive and exciting enough to compel fans to want to watch it again.
F*ck, who here wants to see that fight again?? Pacquaio was one dimensional, lacked his usually intensity and was stymied for the majority of the rounds. It would be like Mayweather giving Robert Garcia a rematch. What's the point??
Also, I'm not sure Manny Pacquaio even wants a rematch. Pacquaio would be much better fighting someone like Maidana after this one.

I seen a video of an interview with Ruslan Provodnikov and he was already completely healed from the Matthysse fight.Thurman has the remnants of the blackeye he suffered in the guerrero fight. Is it just me or does he seem to get banged up a bit in every fight even when they appear to be easy outings.
judging by the talk of mayweather vacating his belts, the choice is probably between pacquiao ii and cotto ii

Won't be big in Vegas and Floyd is gonna stay loyal to mgm
I don't see him going to wembley at all
And he's gonna vacate his belts so the selling point of that fight being it's for all the belts is no longer there
It's gotta be Thurman or pacquaio II but this time priced less it's still the biggest money fight in boxing .

Sorry, Jas - no one wants see a Pacqauio-Mayweather rematch.
What about Kell Brook?

Khan can't fight in sept
So I see Thurman or PAC rematch
There's no-one else

Mayweather is relinquishing all his belts. Haymon and Jay Z don't get along so that rules out Cotto. I think it is either Thurman, Andy Lee, or Gennady Golovkin at a catchweight.
