If this fight happened in 2009/10 i'd be jumping out of the seat, saliving at the thought of it. But it lost some of it's luster through the years.
I mean, both Pacman and Floyd haven't been fighting P4P fighters recently. Pacman with Algieri in November 2014, Rios in November 2013. IMO Bradley isn't top 10 P4P. Then you've Mayweather who fought Maidana twice last year, Guerrero and Canelo before that. (Trout was Canelo's first big test so IMO he wasn't P4P.)
Going back in 2009/10, Hatton and Cotto were definitely P4P who Manny fought. So was Marquez who Mayweather fought. But in 2011 Manny fought an old Mosley and Mayweather fought Victor Ortiz. Don't get me wrong, i'm really looking forward to the fought, but the hype is not as it should be right now.

Kind of. For THREE reasons I guess. One, no fight could do the this kind of hype justice. Two, I think I've "over-thought" this fight the same way a fighter over-trains. I left it all in the message boards and can't get up for the fight.
And the final reason, the biased Floyd fans on here will not give Manny credit if he wins. The excuses will fly like soft stool at a rest home. Likewise, irrational Manny fans will find a million and one reasons why Floyd doesn't get full credit.
This fight is supposed to settle the debate, but we all good and damn well that it won't.
It's going to be Dela Hoya Trinidad all over again. An overhyped, boring tactical fight. This fight will set boxing back with the casual fans who will tune in. Just wait and see.
Im hype but it is a little subdued to what I was expecting.
But It is gonna get real when they are singing the national anthems and you see Floyd and manny pacing around the locker room that's when the adreanaline gets pumping for me.
