Who should Matthysse face next?

Salka. Either Pac or Floyd. I'd sure love that. If not then a fight for a belt. If not Gift. In that order.

Whether or not Danny is worth it doesn't really matter. He simply won't rematch Matthysse imo.

Lucas wants a big fight or a Gift rematch. I think at this point a Gift rematch is not worth it, Matthysse is on another level. Look at the fights both guys had after their last encounter.

I think what's most important is that he gets a belt. I hope he gets his shot soon.

lucas is the mandatory to a guy in two different sanctioning bodies, crawford and garcia/postol winner it's up to oscar who he'll fight, my guess is it'll be vs postol for a vacant strap

its really sad how herrera is ranked #9 and broner "no resume" is #4. Yeah that's Ring, but TRB have Herrera #5 and Broner #10 which seems about right. On topic, I was going to say Pacquiao as the next fight for Matthysse but he might retire if he lost and that would suck. His next fight needs to be meaningful, Postol even for a world title would be kind of lame unless Matthysse fights 3 times this year (unlikely). Crawford is the best fight for him next, world title plus it's a relatively big fight. Herrera not a bad second choice.

I don't know man, I like Matthysse but he needs to act fast and try to quickly grab a belt or get a money fight. He's been in some brutal and gruesome fights these past years (Ajose, Garcia, Molina, and Ruslan) and I think they're taking a toll on him.

Postol because Danny will probably vacate and then Matthysse can fight Postol for the WBC belt. I would like to watch a Lucas-Crawford at one point but imo Crawford would win in a close fight and I like them both and I feel sorry for Matthysse because he never got a significant belt yet despite how good is he. So first I wanna see him beating Postol do some defences and jzst after that a Crawford-Matthysse.

Anyone with a belt or anyone for a belt. For all that he is Lucas has not been a champion which is mind boggling. He should've atleast been champ when he knocked out Peterson.

Garcia is the ultimate fight I want to see for matthysse but seeing at how unlikely that is. Crawford first, pac or may winner for the money, or postol to actually get a belt.

I give Herrera all the credit in the world. The guy is tricky and IMO has beaten some top guys without question but his no power style is incredibly dull to me. He's a talented spoiler through and through and usually gets the short end. Truth be told, even though Herrera has prob earned these match-ups I'd rather see other guys at 140 square off who have more potential drama and intrigue...

how is it low reward? matthysse is the best guy in the division. he's already fought the next 3 highest ranked opponents and only lost to garcia because of a controversial knockdown. everyone knows he's good(except garcia fans) so its high reward. look how highly rated garcia was after barely beating matthysse. he was in line to fight floyd but turned it down. imagine crawford beating matthysse legit? it would instantly propel him into big fights, but unlike garcia crawford wouldn't hesitate to take those opportunities. Greed man if crawford fought like he did in the beginning against dulorme matthysse would hurt him but crawford is the better boxer man tough tough fight WAR MATTHYSSE!! :boxing: :boxing:

I'm wondering if there's a fight at 140 that would both be a "gimme" for Crawford and good practice for a Matthysse bout. Ruslan's too dangerous, and I don't think anyone else fits that bill. Not unless they can somehow get Rios down to 140.

Let Crawford have a couple of more fights and build himself up. No need to rush him. If he's the real deal that's a fight that could be huge in the future. I would like to see Lucas fight Broner.
