To anyone remotely into the boxing scene. It doesn't need any hype. But... To the casual ordinary person . I kind of am concerned. Example... I was talking to my buddy the other day. I heard him tell someone he had lost 140 bucks on the fight. So I nosed in saying Peterson Garcia? He says yea. So I proceed to tell him IMO that the judges got it right ,based not on what Garcia did. But what Peterson didn't do! Starting to late to press Garcia. I noticed he started to get lost. So I changed the direction to May 2nd. And what does this mthafka say? What's on May 2nd? I say... Mayweather Pacq! O o yea. with Zero interest in his tone or on his face. I was like...fk :nonono: from there on I've been thinking it may not be grabbing the interest or enticing the general publics attention. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
the money is in the bag already. everyone knows about this fight. everyone. even women who've never watched a fight in their lives are talkikng about it. there is really next to nothing to post. come may 1st and 2nd, this will be the number 1 trending sports topic in the world.
Every thing up until know has basically been a social media push. Every video Floyd posts gets millions of hits. The reality shows start this weekend. After that ESPN will be all over Vegas the week of the fight. I assume there's going to be a hard promotional push starting next week.
The actual fight itself, I don't really need anything to hype me up.
I feel the same way. Once the fight was signed, I've been getting more excited with each passing day.
