Is Anthony Mundine vs. Austin Trout already official for PBC on May 9, 2014?

Premier Boxing Champions is focusing more on the highly anticipated fight with Danny Garcia vs. Lamont Peterson that is happening on April 11, 2015. I agree Austin Trout vs. Anthony Mundine should be the co-feature event for the card the match has major implications at 154 winner of this match is the WBC (Silver) Jr. Middleweight Champ I actually bought my tickets last week I got ringside front row ringside A-side:boxing: so, its going to be great to see this great night of boxing action will be a national televised boxing event on CBS and it will also, be shown in the UK on Sky Sports because Matchroom Sport is co-promoting that boxing event along with Warriors Boxing. It should be great stuff a very good entertaining night of boxing action tune in. I didn't see it promoted on the Stevenson/Bika show. You'd think it would be the co main over McDowell/Komidi.

The question was here was not to critique the Jr. Middleweight division it was simply to find out if anybody here knew if Austin Trout vs. Anthony Mundine was made official for May 9, 2015 if anybody knows any news on this particular match up please let me know. I appreciate everyone's opinion on the subject thanks.

I think Demetrius Andrade is a good underrated fighter I actually got a chance to see him ringside win that WBO Jr. Middleweight vs. Vanes Martirosyan in 2013. Demetrius Andrade was going to fight one of the Charlo brothers however, Andrade pulled out due to important family matters. And I get your point Top Rank right now is in talks with Cornelius Bundrage about matching him up in a potential fight with Tim Bradley. And you got some top hungry Jr Middleweight prospects out there with Javier Francisco Maciel, Glen Tapia, Hugo Centeno and Julian Williams. And of course you have some good veterans floating around Vanes Martirosyan, Ishe Smith, Joshua Clottey and Zaurbek Baysangurov. Jr. Middleweight is in such a sorry state right now. mayweather has two titles which he will probably never defend again. The other title holders are andrade and bundrage. Andrade, certainly a good fighter, is more or less inactive. Bundrage, LOL, i would have thought that people would line up to fight him in order to get an easy title, but there is nothing on the horizont at the moment. Then youve got 6 fighters in the top 10 who dont excite fans with their styles. (lara, trout, andrade, charlo, charlo, molina) and canelo alvarez who will probably move up to middleweight after he is finished with his 155-campaign. So are you excited about lara vs charlo, trout vs andrade, molina vs charlo, bundrage vs lara or trout vs bundrage? Im certainly not

You make a good point. Austin Trout struggled a lot with Daniel Dawson almost lost to him. In comparison Glen Tapia got Daniel Dawson out of there early. Trout had a bad 2013 sure he has a win over Miguel Cotto under his belt however, he also had back to back losses in 2013. This fight will definitely help the winner move up in the Jr. Middleweight rankings. Demetrius Andrade was actually scheduled to fight one of the Charlo brothers however, I have been hearing about Andrade wanting to fight GGG on a pay per view card in the future. Anthony Mundine has got a version of the WBC (Silver) Jr. Middleweight Championship for what its worth he's a top challenger to the full WBC champion Floyd Mayweather. I could just imagine the winner facing Andrade for his strap. Maybe get fed to a Charlo. Seems like a good bout between two guys that aren't hot right now.
