theres always something about floyd wins:
some examples:
old washed up de la hoya
old washed up mosley
went life and death with washed up cotto
cheated marquez+catchweight
cheated maidana both fights and still went life and death
corrales didnt throw any punches and was overrated
fought juda right after juda lost vs baldomir (even after the fight he admits juda is a frontrunner, a guy who gases out after the first half of the fight)
etc etc
the overrated floyd mayweather, an entire career of cheating and cherry picking
Corrales was maybe Floyd's best win. A lot of people actually thought Floyd was going to lose that fight. And to discredit the Corrales win because Chico wasn't throwing punches, is crazy. Chico wasn't throwing punches because he couldn't find the target. Floyd's skill literally swamped him. There was nothing Corrales could do... And people say Castillo was a great win, but Corrales was over rated??? Chico stopped Castillo.. and Hatton did too.
i dont even think Hatton was a good win.
Didnt commentators say that hatton should never fight at We;ter weight again after a lack lustle performance against some Welter weights?
heres Hatton at Welter weight according to Wiki
"Hatton vs. Collazo
Hatton moved up a division to meet American Luis Collazo for the WBA Welterweight Championship crown which took place on 13 May 2006. Hatton won the WBA crown from Collazo but struggled. Hatton started well, knocking Collazo down in the very first few seconds of the first round, but it turned out to be one of the toughest fights of his career, with some boxing analysts claiming Collazo won the fight, although many thought Hatton had done enough early on to secure victory, with the knockdown a pivotal point in the fight."
It isn't that Floyd has fought nothing but lousy bums. It's just that he is so skilled and better that he makes them look that way. Pacquiao will be next on that list. Mayweather by KO round 8.
I remember watching the Hatton fight live lol, was a noob back then, thought Hatton was doing really well LOL... my old man said something along the lines of.. "I think that Mayweather is more of a boxer, this Hatton's more of a reckless type, Mayweather looks more skilled" right before the knockout lol.
What's changed?
Somewhere in the middle really. He doesn't have a history-worthy win list that makes your head spin as you read through it, but it's not complete crap either.
Solid guys over a long period of time and consistency via being unbeaten.
So if he beats Pacquiao, what will be the reason?
Not the best example, Pacquiao is clearly past his prime(he is still a good fighter but he has changed), and he got knocked the **** out and slept for about a minute, he seems to have lost his punch resistance as well.
Why stop there? Hatton was an overrated bum aswell.
He was #8 P4P but that doesn't matter.
Floyd has literally never fought a decent fighter. Forget good, not even decent.
11 time World Champion in 5 different weight classes. Fought the #1 ranked fighter in the division 9 times, Top 5 ranked in the division 15 times and Ring P4P top 10 guys 7 times.
And out of all of that, not a single decent win.
But who are they? Who are the supposed #1 ranked that he fought. I'm not saying it's his fault, all I'm saying is he fought "decent" fighters.
Similar to what RJJ did. It wasn't his fault that he didn't have better competition, it's just that his competition sucked.
You can't deny what FMJ a did when he retired after hatton thou...

Give me a ****ing break... I came into this thread to say how wrong the OP is but this argument is bogus... By that ****ing logic, Hopkins and freaking Calzaghe are TBE... Mayweather was champion that long because he faced somewhat decent comp...that's it
Now to the OP. Sir you are wrong. Even tho Canelo was a scrub come fight night, floyd dismantled everything canelo threw at him, and canelo was def a better win.
He's faced and beat better boxers. Never the elite in their prime but he's had a great career.
Lmao... Due has gone from 130-154 over a 17 year period, goes undefeated, fights plenty of world class guys, once fought five straight fights in four different weight classes the lineal or #1 rated fighter and won each in dominant fashion..
Outside of manny and hopkins, nobody's resume can compare to floyd..
Good lord.
You guys hate on Mayweather so much, u just s-h-i-t on any fighter he ever fought.
So I take it your not fans of anyone Mayweather ever fought either, how can you be?
I'm not a floyd fan, but you gotta give him his due... Been p4p and world champ since 1998..
Bill Clinton was still in office
Tory aikman,Emmett smith, Michael Irvin were still with Cowboys
No twilight, Harry potter or lord of the ring movies had yet to be made
Rock, Stonecold, and mankind were all in their primes
I was in high school
Evander holyfield was the heavyweight champ
Jermain taylor, Miguel cotto, jeff lacy, Juan Diaz hadn't even turned pro yet
People still used beepers and pagers
Pete Carroll was the New England Patriots coach
That's a long ass time

I'm not sure that either Pacquiao or Mayweather should be very proud of beating Hatton.
