Seriously, who is he ducking? My god, GGG haters really piss me off lately, they say the stupidest ****
And they always make the same stupid statements over and over again but never offer any alternatives for GGG to fight. The rare times that they do give a name, they always name people from another division or someone who already has a fight signed or some fighter who fits both categories. IDIOTS.

Obviously he should have faced Lee, Quillin, Lemieux or N'Dam as these guys are all currently available with nothing scheduled.
Are you talking about good fights with GGG in your pic? So Wilie Monroe was the best GG could find when Cotto said no? I'm supposed to believe that? SO Cotto can't duck GGG but GGG can duck real contenders? **** out of here

Nope: it's in their best interest to make Cotto vs Floyd... (Floyd pays both for the belt and for Roc...)
... Plain shit -- not boxing...
I dont see Floyd vs Cotto 2 happening. I think a Canelo is more realistic.
either that or cotto/gggg
A fight vs GGG would make them money but nowhere near the money a fight vs Canelo would make them.
Word is that HBO isnt going to do Cotto***39;s next fight unless there***39;s a commitment to do Canelo next. They want a safety net #boxing— Steve Kim (@steveucnlive) March 22, 2015
LOL, having to force him to make good fights....

Good for HBO. JayZ may be dumb enough to pay him for crap match ups but HBO is not going to let Cotto cash out until he decides to hang them up.
Cotto has turned down his biggest payday twice because he knows Canelo would beat that ass and take that middleweight strap. And HBO has a reason to want Canelo as the title holder as he is not afraid of challenges like GGG.
IF there is a Cotto - Canelo fight down the road, it will not be for Cotto's title. Cotto has to defend against GGG after his voluntary or he will be stripped. IF Canelo wants the WBC title, he will have to fight GGG for it and there is just as much chance of that happening right now as there is of Cotto defending it against GGG. There are always two other titles Canelo can go after, but he better get to them before Golovkin does.

Sure...I mean they aren't earning interest or anything.
If Mandingo wins, you help me get rid of the Tom Hanks for President quote
someone stuck on my picture.
lol sure. :boxing:
There is one problem with Cotto-Canelo match: it will have to wait for Kirkland-Canelo II because the Mandingo Warrior is going to ravage the ginger, badly.
All your points?
If this is true,I honestly see no problem with it. If anything it shows that there are no such things as promises when you're dealing with cotto, and HBO isn't going to trust cotto to honor his word, like Bob arum did. Its not personal cotto, its just "bidniss".
Agreed. He's a proven ducker/dodger in regards to Canelo and more recently with GGG(I don't really blame him, just feel he should vacate). It's so crazy; the boxing world has it out for Cotto lol. It's almost as if all of the pacquiao-floyd haters shifted their antennas towards Cotto. Karma.
I think this all comes from boxing fans being fed up with promoters still pushing and making Cotto out to be some sort of dangerous undefeated prime warrior. Dudes' a has-been who is just milking the sport for cash at this point. I'm not mad at that, but in the end, if him and his fans don't want to hear criticism then he needs to fight Canelo or GGG(or vacate). No special treatment! Most of us aren't stupid and most of us aren't patriotic nuthuggers either. We know he's washed-up and that Canelo will make a dope highlight reel out of him(He knows that too).
Until then, target stays placed on his back. Not by me, but by almost everyone with an opinion on the matter.
They won't approve this, but they'll approve Kirkland?
Canelo has a contract with HBO, Cotto does not.
Canelo has showed the willingness to fight anyone in the past, so putting him in with Kirkland is very little risk to HBO because he's under contract and wants the big challenges. Cotto lately seems unwilling to fight the best in his division.
HBO is smart to get some sort of guarantee that if Cotto fights Bundrage and they broadcast it that they get a quality fight out of Cotto in return. It's good business.
Cotto's best move is to go with HBO. They have two big fights they can get him: Canelo and GGG. Both are good revenue generating fights.
That guys the biggest ****ing tool in Boxing scene history. He talks about people being nut huggers but would literally suck the black off Floyds dick, if given the chance. He's worthless to society, in every possible aspect.
:lol1: well said.
HBO is supporting the guy they signed long term, Canelo.
GOOD.
That's a good business decision, they want to earn Canelo's respect and loyalty. This does it.
Hopefully, Cotto agrees.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out. We know Cotto is the type of guy who doesn't like to be told what to do; he's very sensitive and diva-ish. But at the same time, there is apparently some dislike between Haymon and Jay-Z which could prevent them going that route, so there aren't a lot of options for Miguel. He should want to fight Canelo anyways imo. It's more winnable than a Golovkin fight (although I'd still predict Canelo to win), plus it earns him the highest possible payday. The only reason he wouldn't want that fight is if he doesn't like his chances.
