Personally I wasn't a fan. Obviously if you can put on good fights that's all that really matters.
But this production had some issues:
-The entrances are terrible, they gotta change that up
-The show is way too slow. 30 minutes in the first fight started, and hour and 30 minutes in the second fight started. I know 12 rounds takes time but way too much filler in there.
-I hated that 360 camera thing they kept using (this is a minor complaint)
-I didn't like the whole Leila Ali and BJ Flores in the corner thing. Just put us in the corner.
-THE WORST THING is the announcers. Sugar Ray and Marv Albert were god awful. Marv literally was guessing if the punches landed. He was calling blocked shots like they were putting people down and saying shots missed that clearly landed. Sugar Ray was terrible with the praise for Broner and Thurman. I don't even think they were looking at Guerrero, all they did was call Thurmans punches
Show definitely needs to fix some stuff but like I said, it ultimately comes down to the fights. Tonight those were disappointing as well
The whole thing would have been much better with a normal boxing format and HBO/Show announcers.
Great that it's on TV but why did they need to make it so gameshowish?
Haymon probably thinks this is "cutting edge" and is going to "redefine" how people watch boxing... give me a break... Showtime/HBO have already set the bar... PBC is a joke in terms of production... I honestly don't get it... does it cost more to do a set up like Showtime/HBO? Or is this just a poor artistic choice?

The announcers were truly terrible. They had no rapport. Sugar Ray would say some good things and Marv Albert was unable to bounce anything back. Very poor duo.
The overall presentation is very, very cheesy. It reminded me of Tron or Starship Troopers... like when you see sports in the future and it looks ridiculous and you hope sports never look like that.
WHY can't they just make it look like a normal showtime/hbo set up?

Huge problem with the commentary. It was really, really bad. Molina single-handedly dragged down the first fight and I hope he didn't drive viewers away from Thurman-Guerrero. Those two salvaged the night. F*ck John Molina.

I agree they just need a regular(ish) production and put it on network tv. They tried to change so much stuff up and I don't really think any of it was an improvement

I think ESPN would be a great stage for this kind of event. They tried to be too epic and it backfired. THe superstar brodcast team was a joke.
ESPN, proven by FNF's gets fights moving and wastes no time. I loved the production of FNF's. Top level fights with the same format would te the ****.
SRL and Marv weren't up to par
Ali has personality of a rock. Other guy was good
Molina unfortunately was stuck in cement
Thurman/Guerrero were both winners
Liked the black ropes
Ring entrances were alright but not the greatest
And I liked the acoustics
First show but I liked it.
They will work some of that out Leila Ali has to go, she just comes off as very unlikable but glad how the main event turned out which is what really needed to happen to spike interest in viewership.
Ali almost seemed pissed off when she gave her report. They said they had Steve Farhood there- I would love to see him be the 3rd person on the broadcast team
Entrance does suck, also announcing
I liked the fighters coming out to there music, with there team n there title belts
Main event was a very good fight, both fighters display heart n will to win
I thought it was fine. There's going to be some trial and error as they search out for their own unique identity. Sometimes you never know how things will work out until they go through a live trial.
I'm more worried about the quality that'll be on the lower budgeted shows - Spike, ect.
Some things will naturally need to be sacrificed because its on network tv. Lots of room for improvement
Having a good ring announcer goes a long ways to help build the atmosphere for a fight. Albert was horrible, I thought Leonard did good considering his partner and being away from the sport for awhile.
Ring walk needs to go back to traditional.
