Ill probably get sh*t for this, but I honestly think he just wanted out, he looked at the fingers , and looked sketchy as fk as it looked like he was deliberating, and chose to say four. Either way that was a sad excuse of an Alvarado up there.
Yeah normally I wouldn't like calling BS in a situation like this but I agree with you OP...he wasn't ready for this fight and used the seeing double thing as an excuse to get out without continuing to get beat on. Screwed over the fans by being totally unprepared and then not bringing any heart to make it worse.
I'll just choose to remember him as he was once and not as his issues have turned him into. I have no idea if you can comeback from the nosedive low I saw last night, but wish him luck and hope someone that cares for him let's him know he is bound to get himself permanently hurt.
I knew the guy was in trouble the second his shadow boxing reminded me of this.

Yes he gave up. Even before the ref came over I think Mike told his corner he wanted out. because u can hear his trainer say no Mike and then comes over and put his arms around Mike and whisper something to him, kinda like giving him a prep talk and that's when the ref came over.
when has he ever not been getting the sh*t beat out of him even in wins, but usually he wakes up and fights back he had nothing and not just physically but mentally, shiette even his shadow didn't wna box with him. that was sad to watch like juanma sad.
lmao..............
Shameful, like the McCall-Lewis rematch. The team sold their drug addicted fighter out. They should all be suspended until further review, and Denver shouldn't really be hosting fights anyway.
Depending when his court dates/sentencing/etc is, I wouldn't be surprised if we see them trot him out for 1 or 2 more fights to put a name on some younger guy's resume.
Whatever the reason I just wish him well in all of his endeavors. If his head is not in the game he should cash in his chips now and not sacrifice his health.

You shouldn't get **** for this cos it's the truth, he looked like ****, he looked shot to hell against JMM and against provo showed a lack of heart. It's clear he is just in this for a few quick pay checks now and then he can go get some blow! The guy should be locked up cos he seems to be spiraling out of control.
Who gives a sh1t
He was getting beat up

He definitely lied and I think it's bull**** he got booed for it. The guy has given his all and had plenty of wars even before the first Rios fight. He should probably retire soon because he has taken a lot of punishment.
