Adrien Broner's next fight to kick off Al Haymon NBC deal?

Hopefully Haymon has figured out how to put a muzzle on Broner to prevent him from making a fool of himslef.

I think the NBC deal is good for the sport, I would like to see fight Broner fight Peterson at 140 or Berto at 147.

Lets see WHO Haymon puts against WHO first. Boycott the damn show if he puts his top guys against 15-6 record fighters which we already know he will.

Should be Ricky Burns. That was a fight that was supposed to happen years ago. Burns is shot, he has looked horrific in his last two fights against weak opposition.

He's meant to be returning in March and that's the same month Haymon is supposed to do his first show on NBC, can't deny that Broner is a draw and would do good numbers. Forget Matthysse, I want Broner vs Salka. Salka's a true warrior that earned the title shot against Gift. Gift should fight XxGhostSniper32xX next (yes, that's a 12 year old that plays Call of Duty online, but still a true warrior like Salka!)

So far Haymon has been terrible for boxing but i'll wait and see what fights he makes on NBC. In theory it should be good for boxing as long as he matches his guys well, otherwise it's particularly bad for boxing. Not sure how the economics can work though but then again i'm not entirely sure how Haymon's finances have been working up to now either.

That's why Haymon doesn't want the Matthysse fight, he doesn't want his biggest non-ppv draw Broner to get folded on the opening night. It's looking like Broner will be matched with someone he will beat. They are both Haymon fighters so Haymon would win either way. That seems to be conveniently forgotten Broner is neither a big draw or the only fighter on Haymon's roster. Haymon is not going to fold up without Broner. He's already lost to Maidana. Matthysse wants a title fight next which makes more sense for him.

Swift's return bout is also scheduled for march... Maybe it will be a doubleheader, broner and danny. Hope it happens, anything that brings more fans is good for the sport. Both guys have a fan base so the numbers would be good.

Yea I think he will be the first nbc main event since people know him. Honestly it'll prob be a "soft" touch since he has such high standards but it won't be a salka. At least half way decent

That can't be a bad thing. Most of the people complaining are the same ones who have been "not watching Haymon cards" for the past 2 years. If you are trying to gauge what the cards will be like-why not use a larger sample than just 2014? 2013 was good. Lets see what happens.

You have to wonder what there real issue is because "fight quality" is never an issue for non Haymon fighters.
