Frampton and Santa Cruz are the two guys Hearn would be willing to remove Quigg from his bubble wrap suit. Frampton for obvious financial reasons, and Santa Cruz because a loss to a hyped up, foreign fighter with decent backing really wouldn't hurt him.
It was confirmed by both Hearn and Santa Cruz's people that Quigg offered to fight him. In the UK or the US.
The Galahad fight doesn't make much sense for Quigg right now in all honesty.
Galahad fight makes more sense than Otake, the kid fights on Channel 5, he sure has good exposure (comparatively).
This crap will continue as long as Showtime continues to buy the garbage fights from Al Haymon as a stipulation of Mayweather signing a contract with Showtime. Not only do we have Santa Cruz/Ruiz to look forward to in the first half of 2015, we will also get Stevenson/Fonfara II.:bukkake:
I have a hard time believing the Quigg part. I've heard Leo was sent an offer etc as we have touched on this some time ago, but Quigg won't even fight Galahad let alone Frampton.

The difference is that both Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton have offered to fight Santa Cruz and been rejected.
Santa Cruz isn't just ducking Rigondeaux. He's ducking the entire division.

I mean it would at least be better than his last fight against the Japanese fellow.
Why is everybody up in arms about Jesus Ruiz being the opponent? He's not as bad as people are making him out to be. Much better than we usually get from Al Haymon clients.
Ruiz has a draw with Andres Gutierrez (who has a final eliminator with Hugo Ruiz to become Santa Cruz's mandatory coming up), a K.O. win over Ruben Tamayo (the opponent Jesus Cuellar just knocked out recently), and a win over Enrique Quevedo (the guy who knocked out Yoandris Salinas, the same Salinas that Scott Quigg fough to a draw with).
I do notice that a lot of the people that knock Santa Cruz are Frampton and Quigg fans though. They like to pretend Frampton and Quigg are fighting future Hall Of Famers and aren't ducking Rigondeaux, :pat:.

Wish we could get lsc vs guitterez.. I think those youngsters would put on a great action fight,,
Toe to toe, action packed, barn burner for the fans of barbaric wars.
He named his new born son after Al Haymon!

:lol1: Good one. Al jr Lets hope we see that Rigo matchup soon the 122 God is bored nobody wants to get in there with him, he is fighting 140 pound gigantors (compared w him) out of boredom.
Typical Haymon fighter. I wonder who's next for Garcia, Broner, Matthysse, Peterson, Thurman... they won't fight each other.
Yep. Very typical. They call out big names knowing that they're going to fight nobodies. It's no coincidence.
wait your a fan of an al haymon fighter? blasphemy lol
I'm a fan of plenty of Haymon fighters. It's kind of hard not to be with how many fighters are on his roster now. :lol1:
I don't go by the opinion that Haymon deserves all the blame and the fighters shouldn't get any. The fighters can say no. They can speak up. It's just as much their fault as Haymon's if they fight crap fight after crap fight.
id like to think haymon is saving the big fights for nbc only time will tell but these type matchups are going to back fire eventually i just find it hard believe their number 1 hyped fighter in years in broner was one they put in a tough matchup above his weight class maybe it scared them hahahaha
Lol did you see the way Haymon stormed out of the arena after Broner did the Booty Dew? Lol, from then on Haymon's no risk approach looks to have increased.
