I am Mexican, and I would definitely watch Pacquiao vs Mayweather over any other boxing fight. That being said, Canelo vs Cotto kills anything that isn't Pacquiao vs Mayweather. I was one of the idiots who bought Mayweather vs Maidana 2, and since then I bowed to not buy any other Mayweather fight unless he fights Pacquiao. So I suppose I would agree with the TS to some degree, but honestly I wouldn't mind it if Mayweather was forced off the date, his fights are not really big hits at any fight parties, too boring for most people, and last fight was terrible even for me.

It is not even a Mexican holiday..more of a American holiday..and if they gave a damn about Canelo why did his last 2 ppv combined not even come close 2 a million? i give 2 ****s about what fights takes place and when. doesn't it sound like I'm saying canelo should get the date? As a Mexican fan I could only speak for myself since everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Personally I could careless what date a super fight falls on as Long as they are being made. If two massive fights fall on the same date I could simply dvr one and watch it right after the first event. Dates don't really mean ***** to me aside from an excuse to make parties and get hammered while watching some great fights :)
