He was composed, didn't get cauht by silly shots.
Switched from offense to defense smoothly, quite impressive if you think of how insecure he looked versus Diaz and Molina.
He sticked to the game plan , for the most part at least. He still traded a bit more than Virgil Hunter wanted him to in the last part of the fight, but can't really blame him for wanting to win decisively.
As for going more to the body, I don't think it was necessary in this fight. Alexander wasn't being over aggressive and Khan was landing his 1-2 and 1-3 with a certain ease.
Maybe he could have jabbed more to the body, but for the rest he did what he had to do: land his 2, max 3 punches and slip out.
Thoughts?? :boxing::boxing:
1 bad thing that he didn't commit to body too much!!!
What improvements did you see?
I can't criticize because I didn't see anything bad about Khan's performance tonight. I would say that he would be wise to recognize and accept the fact that Floyd Mayweather is not Devin Alexander.
khan got caught with the right hook quiet a few times,
maybe that was because of devons southpaw stance
either way you cant really give him much criticism on that performance,
he made devon looks like a novice
Still need to tighten up. Vulnerable for the left hook. Brook will spark him out if he doesn't keep working on that. In slow motion he dropped his right a lot.
yeah I agree mate, also he needs to stop reaching everytime ffs.
But Khan would give Floyd fits!!! thats for sure.

I do think Khan looked very good, but some of his shots are a bit fluffy and wild. Especially when he goes on a machine gun rampage.
But it's good to win rounds and he seemed to have the more power of the two also.
My God Alexander is boring. Has he ever been in a good fight?
Biggest difference in the fight was footwork. Whilst Alexander has good handspeed, his feet are very slow.
Khan looked strong, i cant really fault his performance
I think he'll get better with each performance
He stayed calm, and when it did look like he was about to turn into the old Khan, he got a talkin from Hunter and went back in to gameplan mode
Devon looked like a lost puppy in there.
Its not easy to do that to someone like Devon
Quite simply put, he looked close to perfect as a boxer in there.
When is the last time a boxer of the caliber of Alexander has been outboxed in every single round? This was an all time great performance.
Still a lot of flaws but it was a good performance and it would just be nitpicking what was a punch perfect performance.
Not sure where Alexander goes from here hes not a strong welterweight and is hugely flawed, two fights in a row he has been badly exposed in two totally different ways.
I expected the result but fml did he get made to look sh*t. Extremely slow feet, can't cut a ring off to save his life, pathetic punch variety, no defense.
He got countered too death with that left hook over the lazy jab and still kept throwing it. Absolutely awful. He'd be better off at 140 if he can still make it but even then the top guys wipe the floor with him.

Much better footwork staying in range. Much more calm and collected and didn't get drawn into getting caught with something stupid.
Negative turned his back to much early on against a dirtier fighter or stricter referee he will regret that.
Overall great performance stuck to the gameplan.
