Maidana got the Floyd fight based solely on his win over Broner. If Khan beats Devon, he will enter the Floyd fight off a win over a guy who is clearly better than Broner (and kicked Maidana's a.ss). But Maidana was a better fight because he had a paper title at the time? Don't make me laugh. Is Floyd vs Khan #1 on my wishlist? No. Do I think the self-proclaimed TBE should be fighting the Khan's or Devon's of the world? No. All I'm saying is that if you didn't think Floyd's last four fights were disgraceful, it's hypocritical to act all outraged now. Floyd vs Khan or Devon is the standard fare, not any better or worse than Floyd's opp in the last two years. In hindsight all of Floyds opponents of the past were bad. Miadana made it a close fight and had Mayweather on the ropes in the first fight. Miadana is always dangerous idc who he fights. Cotto was a dangerous fighter and had a title when he fought Mayweather. Many experts and sports insiders were calling for Canelo to upset Mayweather and this fight was seen as a very dangerous fight for Mayweather. Canelo came in with a terrible gameplan and if he had a different gameplan, he probably could've made it interesting. Canelo was the champ at the time as well. GTFO Floyd vs Khan or Devon is a MAJOR step down compared to who Floyd has been fighting in recent years.

Funny, how the parameter of discussion changes regarding belts depending on how it serves one's agenda. When I say Malignaggi went on to become a World champion after losing to Khan ie wasn't shot when Khan beat him I hear "oh buh he beat a paper champ". Yet you can beat someone like Alexander and just cuz he doesn't have a belt it all of sudden makes the fight irrelevant.

Cotto is the lineal mw champion and not a real mw...that is why we mention it man...No one will claim Floyd is the best mw because he is not even a mw So lets cherry pick the guy that Floyd beat just so Floyd fans can say, like they did with Baldomir, ...... The Manny fight isn't any more realistic now than it was over the last couple of years (whoever's fault that is), so getting all outraged that Floyd is fighting someone else now is kind of hypocritical and reeks of Khan hate. As for the Cotto MW "lineal" title fight, that would be Floyd's worst cherry pick ever. If he wants the MW title that badly, why didn't he challenge a prime Martinez? The fight was there for the taking. If he wants the recognition as the best MW in the world, why doesn't he fight GGG? Beating a past-prime blown up jr. Lets wait and see the picture will be clearer by Sunday morning as it stands Khan being mentioned at Welterweight top level is stupid.He's had ONE fight against a way over the hill alchy and is now fighting a decent welter but who many think has had his day...FACT !

There's not that much to separate what Khan and Alexander have they just failed in different ways and succeeded in similar ways.

Aydan has been around the bottom of the WW top 10 for years (shows how top heavy the division was/is) and had some recognition as the guy Berto ducked. Berto had been shoved down our throat for years and we were told so many times that he was the next big thing that the Ortiz loss wasn't enough to convince us otherwise. Plus Guerrero had a nice backstory. Floyd vs Guerrero looks much worse in hindsight. At the time it was considered kind of OK if not great. Definitely wasn't as hated as Manny vs Algieri.

This fight should lead to a fight with Thurman, Bradley or Brook.
