How is Beltran ranked the #2 Lightweight in the World

Abril should be ranked higher

I just don't understand how he got ranked over both Vasquez and Abril (Two long time reigning champs in the division), after getting a draw against Burns( he did do enough to win) and beating a career Jr. Lightweight. I posted this a month back and got hammered, fact is, it's all part of the Crawford promotion but TCs win over Gamboa was far better than Beltran and in terms of what I've seen of guys at 135, TC is probably but the best but he does not deserve that official recognition because it makes no sense.

they are building Crawford up expect that guy to fight guys like Soto next or Baby Buil Juan Diaz who is inline for a title shot

Yeah, Beltran was overhyped for sure. Kind of embarrassing but "it is what it is".

I was smh when I heard this as well. He has 7 losses, he's never been a champion, yet because he lost a controversial decision to Ricky Burns and beat Usmanee(Who's a smaller fighter) he's now a top 3 guy? There are guys like Figueroa, Vasquez, Bey, Linares and Abril that are all better fighters than Beltran. Beltran isn't a bum by any means, he's a veteran, he's a pretty good fighter but no way is he top 2 or 3. I get what they were trying to do. They want to build up Crawford, so naturally they're going to hype up his opponent in the process.

Beltran really ain't **** when u think about it. Crawford whooped him and he's now a future atg. Lol fans will over rate this win just like they did with the Gamboa win. Lil Gamboa had no shot vs 153 pound TC.
