After the ninth round, when Algieri had already been down five times.
"We are exactly where we need to be."

Anyone else kept on hearing someone screaming out "Love it!" throughout the fight.
I think that was Tim Lane also....LOL :D
Chris needs a whole new team.
"Just watch. He's going to knock him out in a few minutes." Algieri nearly gets decapitated.
"Okay, Chris. Now it's round 2." It's round 11.
Dude was the best part of the fight.
That was set up so perfectly.. like scripted.
But Tim Lane is a joke. Hope I never see this dude again.
Max helped set it up by being Max and acting kind of smug but still trying to take Algieri'so trainer seriously. I think even Max wanted to say, "you guys have the worst fight plan ever"
it's one thing trying to keep your fighter believing he can do it/he's still in there with a chance. It's another to be completely dillusional and feed him BS. after losing the first 4 rounds his corner was telling him 'beautiful work keep doing what your doing we are exactly where we need to be' etc. yeah losing every f*cking round ... and it just got worse and worse. It's like he thought chris was scoring points by getting himself knocked down or something.
Well in mma you get points for reversing takedowns so maybe he got a little confused.

Algieri looked like absolute ****, coming from someone who praised his performance against Ruslan. He looked like a slow, clumsy, starstruck moron.
While Pacquaio is obviously the better boxer, you can't see a performance that clueless and not blame the team/trainer. There was obviously no gameplan at all. He just kept circling in the same direction throwing lazy jabs and they were like "Atta boy! Stick to the secret plan!".
He would have improved his chances of victory had he literally run at Pacquaio throwing windmill punches.
I said it all along - these kick boxing guys were way, way over their heads.
Forget advocado's, headbands and energy crystals- boxing at this level is about experience, tactics and judgement.
I don't know how how CA sat there and listened to the complete BS that Tim Lane was coming up with.
"This is the Chris Algieri show"...after he had been down twice in the round.
"Letting you out the cage"...Even Algieri looked bemused by that one.
"It is still round one"...After round 4.
I have never laughed out loud watching boxing before - but I was in tears last night.
Great entertainment all round!

lol Tim Lane is probably the most deluded man in boxing
"Ima let him out of his cage"
His trainer was a kickboxing coach currently teaching out of an MMA gym. Has Algieri just been winning off athleticism and guts?? Only fight of his I've seen
Algieri's trainer is a dumbass. He was saying the wrong things to Algieri and came up with a stupid fight plan. When Algieri was clearly losing, the guy kept telling him that they were doing okay. What an idiot.
The thing is this..
This trainer's line of thinking works with D level fighters algieri was fighting before pac. To be honest chris' corner strategy was plain dumb and stupid if you're trying to win fight against a world class elite fighter
let's examine known facts:
pac does not gas in 5 rounds, i mean WTF? have they seen the tapes at all? pac maintains the same intensity round 1-12
This isn't some lifetime fitness boxing opponent we're talking about here
The "I'm gonna uncage him. He's gonna stop Manny" the exact second Chris got put on his ass was one of those perfect moments that only happens in boxing. I was rolling even though at that point I just felt bad for Chris.
