I'm glad this fight is off because I'm not a fan of Chavez. He agreed to take low money vs Rios because he was making over 100k from the Argentine tv deal. Maybe that deal wasn't as sweet this time around and now he wants more from the HBO side.
Not a fan of Kamegai either, but I bet it'd be an entertaining fight and more so than Judah or Cintron. I'd expect Tim to have an easier time than Guerrero did. Too bad all the top WW's are pretty much with Haymon. TR won't be willing to do Bradley-Rios just yet, and Herrerra would want a ton more money.
if the reports are correct, that's not the case. He wasn't even getting Salka money for this.
Upon further reflection I blame TR for this fiasco. The fight seemed rushed, and was telling when they have a press conference for the card, and the opponent of the headlining fight isn't even present.
I don't care how much he's getting paid, he was about to be on HBO against Bradley, **** Chaves, hope he doesn't get another shot on US TV.
I was looking forward to this fight, I don't see how chaves thinks he's a superstar lol

this is off of f i g h t n e w s.com?
Who do these guys think they are by inflating their worth? They would have never found an audience to view their fights had it not been for the huge U.S. premium cable television markets.
Chances are he isn't even known in his own country of Argentina. He should just be grateful for the opportunity and exposure and take whatever is currently being offered to him because there are many foreign born fighters who are envious of his position and would relish the chance at fighting on American television.
Remember when people were making fun of SHO for only having a few boxing cards remaining for the year? Well look at Hbos schedule. They should cut their losses as well honestly because the rest of the year is looking pathetic for both networks.

Damn, I actually rather see the Chaves fight, and I wasn't too keen on that bout.
