Really shows who knows boxing here people choosing, brook, thurman, Devon,Chavez $h!t is laughable they have not done crap. Bradly and jmm are the best after May n pac no one esl has a case
Maidana to me is the best 140-147 pounder in the game right now. I know I will get bashed for this BUT I am part of the many who think he beat Mayweather twice. Yes, the first fight he won more clearly but the second one he did it in more technical fashion and more clearly IMO.
Bradley is up there though.
I gotta disagree, I thought el chino won the first one more clearly
This is a solid post, I think there are a few talented boxers at 147 who one could make a case for as being the #3 guy at 147. Personally, I think that guy is Bradley but we can never know for sure unless particular fights get made.
Yeah, gun to head I'm picking Bradley as the number 3 guy, but I wouldn't be mad if people had Kell Brook or Thurman there either.
Keith Thurman.... but yeah based on accomplishments he probably is number 3
What accomplishments exactly? can you please name two elite full fledged welterweights tim bradley has beat?
Based of skills, resume, accomplishments at 140 and 147 and current rankings...I can only consider Danny Garcia, Tim Bradley, or Amir Khan....in comparison to them most people of one big win but these guys, win lose or draw are proven at the elite level.....
Devon Alexander may be just the rings number ten ranked fighter at 147 but he has shown the willingness to fight everyone from 140 to 147 and has fought Bradley, Matthyssee, Bailey, Porter, Kotelnik, Juan Urango, Witter, Corely, and Maidana with only 2 loses
Any fighter can ko nobodies and fringe contenders like GGG or Thurman and look like Tyson....If they fought the level of comp that Garcia, Bradley, Khan, and Alexander have, they would not be undefeated
I don't think there really is a clear cut "best" after Floyd and Pac. You can make an argument for a lot of guys, Bradley being one of them
I'd give my left nut to see Pacquiao fight Thurman.
What the hell has Bradley ever done at 147? His only wins come against 140lbers. I guess if you want to count the Pacquiao robbery. Bradley was a better fighter at 140.
Abregu is a '47lber

Bradley's chin, will, and durability is the biggest variable in a Bradley-Thurman fight. Thurman would have to really pull it out if Bradley shows he can take Thurman's shots, plus Bradley wouldn't just stand straight and take shots like Soto-Karass.
Shoot man, Tim would be dancing circles around him and feeding him jabs like skittles. Thurman is not a terrible fighter but he lunges with power shots A LOT. It won't take Tim more than 30 seconds to see what the deal is and start to pepper Thurman with counter shots.
I think he wins a comfortable UD in that fight.....8-4, 9-3 type fight. I could see Thurman landing a few good shots here and there but after the fight, the main posting consensus would be that Thurman got schooled or "was Thurman overhyped?"

Dude... you need to learn how to troll better
This. Too many people try and be 'check hooks' on here and they simply don't stack up
Hard to say for sure, but most likely yes. His wins over Marquez, Ruslan, Peterson, and Alexander are probably better than anything anyone outside of Floyd and Manny has at 140/147. And he has a good scattering of other decent wins too.
Bradley would make him look silly. Let's bet on that one if and when it happens. :beerchug:
