...except Walters of course.
Not to discredit Walters but had that Nonito left hook landed in the 1st minute of the 2nd round, fight would have a different outcome. Walters is on a shaky foundation big time. Feed Donaire other feathers and he'd decapitate them.
Not yet time to hang up them gloves champ, you just fought and got caught by another great champ!
I don't think Donaire even looked bad in fact I felt he looked great early on, Walters size and power just took its tole and was just too much to overcome.
He was working the body well until he was warned for a borderline shot, he didn't throw one bodyshot after and the fight turned 360.
i agree for the first 3-4 rounds donaire looked good but the size and power of walters wore him down
I think Donaire looks soft at 126 and his proper fighting weight is about 118 judging by the extra fat he brings into the ring at 126. Donaire is a hell of a fighter but he ran into a much better and much bigger fighter. The idea that Donaire had plans to go to 135 is really foolish on his part. Fighters shouldn't move up in weight unless they need to. Donaire kept moving up in weight until he was fighting at weights he didn't belong at but got away with it because of his speed and power. Not this time. I don't think any featherweight can beat this guy from Jamaica.

:nonono:
Sorry boxing don't work that way, Walters got rocked and made the proper adjustments for Donaire Hook.
i dont know about that
nonito has no work rate and can be outworked so you can easily win rounds vs him
also its clear he doesnt like getting hit and is easy to be hit..this is dating back to vazquez jr busting him up with a basic jab
nonito is overrated and was overhyped....
He hates getting hit, you're right.
But the hook gives him a shot against anyone, especially shaky chins or guys lime LSC who have never faced real power
Nonito s problem is not dedication he just ran into better opp.
He still KOs Mares, LSC, Johnny, Euro bums, and other guys who won't handle his sick left hook

Yeah. He can KO fighters who lunge in and have no defense, but he's always struggled with textbook fighters, even ones quite a bit smaller than himself.
Agreed. That was a sick tactical beatdown from Walters. But hey, Nonito still highly skilled. Lol no. Never has been.

People keep talking about Walter's size, but Nonito has much more experience and was perceived to be more skilled. Anyone who looks at this fight not knowing either fighter would think Walters was the more skilled and experienced.

He's one-dimensional. Walters was the smarter fighter in there, with better tactics/skill/power you name it.

guy doesnt even jab or set his punches up
he literally just wings random power shots then does nothing else the whole round
basically he can only win by KO in fights
also add in the fact his stamina sucks and he's lazy
Donaire landed like 7% of his jabs and barely threw any, yet people still act like he does anything more than wing power shots in hopes his opponent is unaware enough to run into it.
He was boxing well until he got caught with the uppercut he didn't see and went into as Walters threw the punch. He's hardly one dimensional but he tends to rely solely on his power...
That punch changed the the fight and Walters knew it and broke Donaire down, Donaire went for it in the 6th and paid the price.

Donaire needs to retire. He's one-dimensional as hell but tries to play it off with flash.

Chubby and slow. He's finished.
You based off a fighter with those assumption.Donaire given us a good fight, he went in there exchanged with bigger and more powerful guy. He wasn't slow and he rocked Walter.
