Sometimes having that much of a height advantage can help but it often doesn't when you have to make weight. There was a fighter in the 1980's named Alvin Hayes that was 6'2 and fought at lightweight. He appeared very good coming up until he was leveled by the Kronk's Jimmy Paul. It says he is a light middleweight so I guess he can't make 140 any more. He is rated the450th best in his eight class so he is not likely a future champ.

Paul Williams was all of 6'3" and often fought at 147. Guys with small frames can really cut off pounds.

I cant watch the video, but the img says light middleweight, which is 154 i know, but the dude fought vargas and maldonado jr and the fight in the video is at 140 too, he probably moved up
