Maidana vs Broner was actually closer than what most people think.

Khan fans stay salty. Take away the knockdowns and Maidana still won 8 or 9 rounds, at least. Maidana fans spam Khan threads harder than it is the other way around.

There is the BOTTOME LINE: The fight was a dominant, impressive win for Maidana and no spinning can change that.

There's no point in talking about what would happen if the KDs didn't occur, otherwise, you can say that for almost anything in a match ("What if Maidana didn't get a point deduction? What if Broner didn't throw a punch in the 12 round? What if the referee stopped the fight?). In the end, that was the result of that fight and nothing will change that.

Even the the 2 or 3 rounds Broner won were due to Maidana taking a break. And he didn't hurt Maidans in the 12th, he sucker punched him after the 11th round bell rung to end the round. And even in the 12th, once Maidana recovered from the cheap shot he had Broner doing the Stankyleg. Re-watch round 12, Broner landed a left hook straight right combo and Maidana did a shake and moved back immediately.
