This is simply amazing, love him or hate him to be 37 and still have the highest plus/minus punch rating while being unified and lineal in 2 divisions at the same time is unheard of...and this is a man "WHO IS SLOWING DOWN"
Floyd wasn't lineal at 130, nor was consider lineal at 135. Stop making shiet up!
from 112 to 154 8 Divisions, Thats the equvalent of Floyd winning a title at Light Heavy WeighT!
Floyd is a damn coward, why he dont want to fight Manny? Needles? Manny needs to be his own boss, but Floyd is own by Haymon? Does Manny lives too far like prime Cotto?
We've had this conversation before. Short memory?
Hernandez and Nelson was a box off for the Lineage at 130.
And obviously Floyd was Lineal at 135. He beat Castillo for that.
So yes he was Lineal at both.
Actually 47-0-0 and never been on his ass. There will an excuse for every victory.
Yes Alexander dominated Maidana in a way that Mayweather hasn't. It's clear that something about Maidana gives Floyd trouble but as a true master he finds a way to get it done.
As far as Floyd and Manny as offensive fighters. It's a matter of preference.
Floyd is more economical and accurate. Manny is a whirling derwish. Both are fast and have power. Knockout % is about the same (Manny 60%, Floyd 55%). The fact that Manny is wreckless allows more opportunities on offense but also leaves him vulnerable.
What alot of the Mayweather detractors underestimates it's his toughness, chin and heart. This nonsense about being scared is crazy. If he's scared why would he have rematch Castillo and Maidana?
If was afraid why would he still throw the pull counter after getting hurt by Maidana in the third?
For those who think Khan can beat him, yes Khan has a great jab and speed but he has to defend against an accurate puncher. Beating Collazo does not erase the Diaz fight.
Thurman has skill and maybe the future but he needs to fight some tough customers like Guerrero, Khan, Porter, Brook, Maidana before stepping up to the best. Time is not on his side.
I honestly feel Floyd only option is Manny. Hopefully it's a classic match and we can get a rematch and Floyd rides off into the sunset.
If no Manny I think he should retire. He's looked uninterested on Saturday
Look, let's all be real here, Floyd is an excellent defensive fighter with a good but not spectacular offense. This combination of boxing skill, ring intellect and physical gifts has allowed him to remain undefeated over an extended period of time. There is no doubt that his championship reigns, the belts and the weight divisions will create for him a legacy that 90% of boxers would be envious of. The question that remains, which is all due to his own misdemeanors, is how many great fighters has he beaten when those fights meant something?
Floyd has far too many questions left unanswered, far too many rivalries not lived. Williams, Tszyu, Margarito and currently Pacquiao. We can add Cotto and Mosley to the fights that happened way too late. Now I know a lot of great fighters have the odd missing person on their resume but there are good reasons for those names and better alternatives...Baldomir was not a better alternative to Margarito. Ortiz, Guerrero and co have not been better alternatives to Pacquiao. That sadly will define Mayweather as much as his record does.
it defines his career for haters like yourself...for people like me not fighting pac does not define his career.
dominated 130 al the way to 154 undefeated for 17 years 25 championship foights undefeated pac can't compatre to floyd in anyway..
you may continue your reguarly scheduled hating..

it was worth a try, diaz is no baldomir. nothing compares to baldomir
Yeah there does Baldomir is like Rios but can move and he beat proper WWS not losing to fighters like Abril , nothing compares to Rios if you like C graders .

That's what Chavez had to say about the matter of his record
People can stretch it which ever way, but Khan beat him in his first attempt with 8 ounce gloves of Maidana's choice.
floyd is 2-0 against maidana..what plan you from?
Did you just say David Diaz? Ok ok you are obviously trolling me I'll stop feeding you. David Diaz? You....I can't believe....wow
it was worth a try, diaz is no baldomir. nothing compares to baldomir
47-0 11 time champion in 5 divisions, current 2 division unified/lineal champ
cherry picked hand picked opponents, Paid off opponents, fight ducking coward, Every excuse in the book to not fight Manny Pacquiao Coward ass bltch made motherfuker!
And Manny doesn't cherry pick?
112, 126, 130, 135, and 140 yes i know you will say david diaz wasn't lineal champ but since the linear title isn't something tangible like a trinket belt, we all know that santa cruz easily beat casamayor and diaz beat santa cruz 5 if you are being honest
the fight will never happen, floyd is standing in the way of history. look what fear does to a man. what a shame.

When you compare overall boxing skills, Floyd is superior. Screw the titles.
At a defensive level yes, but offensively Pacquiao is just much more superior.
Mods deleted my thread where you said PAC beats fmj. This thread surely will not be deleted. This site like mayweather has declined dramatically since bringer left.
LOL @ the bold. Dude was a power tripping nazi. He was decent at times though. Specially when it didn't concern Hopkins.
Floyd, beat the guy he should have convincingly beat the first time like Khan and Alexander. If you so called "fans" want to see him fight b level fighters until he retires then that's what you like. Khan is a b level fighter also who will probably be next. Other than that the only one left is Pacquiao and he doesn't have much left. In the end Floyd will be known as an good fighter who could have done better
