There was a point years ago that the fight would be pretty close but still had Floyd winning it, than the past 2 years clearly Floyd would win, and now its right back to being questionable who wins.
Good breakdown. One thing that separates Floyd''s countering styles to JMM's or Morales is that Floyd doesn't follow up and put his shots together. I don't know if he could beat Manny without making him wary about what he might walk into.
Similarly I wonder if Manny's lead left is a sufficient substitute for the jab that Cotto or Oscar had. Unlike those guys, Manny actually does have the handspeed to fight Floyd in the middle of the ring. But I still think he would need to back Floyd up to win. Of Floyd has the freedom of the ring he's damn near impossible to beat.
Yeah, floyd doesnt really punch in combination anymore...
I really think this fight would look alot like hopkins-calzaghe... manny throwing alot like calzaghe, while floyd would make him miss but not get much offense off much like hopkins...
if you think its an easy fight for either guy YDKSAB
Manny struggles with fighters that can counter, and have a good lead/counter right ie marquez, morales
Floyd struggles with guys with high work rate and skills ie oscar, cotto, maidana 1, castillo
Its going to be a great fight,, manny touches everyone he fights and floyd will be no different... But does floyd have the mental toughness of a morales and marquez and get hit in the face but fireback.. Thats manny's weakness, guys that can take his firepower and fire back with counters... both morales and marquez got bloodied by manny but would still fire counters with the right.. Can floyd take the heat that manny brings and not blink and fire back.. If he can floyd should beat manny.. if he cant, and he is alittle gunshy, then manny outpoints him..
the fight comes down to if floyd is willing to take some flush shots and fire back

Basically you are admitting that I got the better of you, and you have no boxing knowledge or IQ because you just resorted to name calling and moving on as if you are being a bigger man when the truth is you had no rebuttal for my analysis. I study fights and styles of fighters, and stop going of predictions, everyone makes them sometimes they don't get them right but to use that as a reason to knock someone is lame. I always give my reasoning for my predictions and that should be respected, I just dont throw random predictions out there without analysis and thought provoking process.
Study harder hectari. Although I do agree, and have said so In past posts that Algeria has a legitimate chance of pulling off the upset. But you saying that Pacquiao cannot hurt anyone at 147lbs when he damned near put Margarito In a coma at 154lbs Is absurd. Your predictions are over the top and also absurd. Since you are a student of the game and your predictions are to be respected and you base your analysis on a thorough thought provoking process what did you see In Brandon Rios that lead you to believe that he could knock Manny Pacquiao out with a jab? Could It be that you are just a Pacquiao hater? Just be honest, you will get more of that respect that you so greatly seek by just being honest.

Great post Sugar. This is what I've been saying and we see it from last night's fight. There were moments when Floyd was actually hurting Maidana up with his combinations, but Floyd is so defensive minded that instead of going for the kill, he would go in defense right after the combo. Sometimes I wish Floyd can just go full on offensive and finish his opponent when he sees that they're being dominated which is what Floyd used to do years ago. Floyd today just gets too paranoid when getting tagged. It's like he's more confident of his opponent knocking him out rather than him knocking them out if he lets his hands go.
The running was embarrassing. He was not even potshotting. He just want to survive. I could see Pacman running also, but still able to throw combinations. This guy was just running, then clinch when he gets tired of running.
Alexander did better.
You are even slower than I Initially gave you credit for being and I guess most of the forum probably realizes this with your past comments and predictions such as Rios getting the win over Pacquiao via a Knockout JAB. I do believe It Is time to move on. Enough time wasted here.

i'm more than willing to bet my 1st born son that pac beats fraud jr.
that's how sure i am of betting against a fraud.
Lol at the slightest chance of you ever touching a female
Algieri has a 72 inch reach as well, we'll see how Pac avoids Algieri's jab.
We will see. Although I wasn't particularly impressed with Algieri. I actually thought Ruslan won the fight.
IMO Manny has always had the chance to win. It was Floyd, who has the skill and counter ability to keep PAC at bay. With Manny's work rate going down his chances went down also. Now that its legit Floyd is slowing it just looks more evened out.
Pacquiao needs to ask Floyd to STFU with these ridiculous demands. Since the thread is about Pac beating Floyd..I think Pacs angles pose the biggest threat to Floyd...more than ever now with Floyd being slow

*and fire back enough
floyds volume is very low,, lower then bhops now. he does a great job at picking spots but he doesnt throw alot anymore. i think that could be a big factor. he only threw 300 punches lastnight in 12 rds
