As a Floyd Fan, Are You Truly Impressed?

This guy is 37 Think about your favorite fighter at that age what were they doing? They wasn't running screaming how the best ever and that their opponent is gonna be easy work! Then goes and runs and holds all night.

And Pacquiao is in his prime and has looked great these past years? He looked better than that! Floyd should be embarrassed bro. He runs his mouth about being the best and he literally ran and held all damn night.

It went how i thought the 1st fight would go. Mayweather did what he had to do..stayed off the ropes, tied up when close, and used the ring. Comfortable win for him. I wasn't overly impressed but he did a good job.

I mean really? So much for a fiar fight Floyd was calling for. Why did no one report they were fighting in a gigantic ring? Floyd got his gloves, Floyd got his bias ref. Compubox was a joke. With all that he still let Maidana win 4-5 rds. Give Maidana the advantages Floyd had and is there any doubt he wins the fight? None at all is the answer. Floyd only threw 26 punches a rd, and somehow landed 51%. Where? Someone make a video comp of punches landed. You can find him landing 51% of punches or even 40% with video proof I will never post again on this account or any other. I will never visit this forum again. I'm not a Floyd's fan, but I'm extremely impressed. (You didn't ask in which particular direction one should have been impressed.)

You do know Alexander didnt either right? You know this is Floyds 18th year and hes 38 right? Right? Yes he did, Alexander was Maidana's first fight at 147.

The interesting thing is, people always said Floyd was more skilled than Roy Jones because he didn't rely as much on athleticism and would fall back on technique when he aged. I think the last couple of performances show that Floyd has always been reliant on his tremendous athleticism, particularly reflexes and speed. I will say though, Hopkins is a freak, an anomaly, an outlier. Comparing anyone to him is not really fair. Well like I said in my last post, most fighters aren't considered green at age 28. So yeah it is an unfair comparison.

But Hopkins can, so if Floyd is as great as he says he is, why can't he do what old man Hopkins can? Hopkins didn't start fighting at the top Level until he was almost 30 years old that's why. He was considered green at 28 years old.

I might aswell be the one to bring this up, but when Pac beat Bradley in the rematch, and the same question came up many stated that it was hard to look good against bradley. . . and to be fair, recently it's hard to also look good against maidana. . . people knock floyd for having no heart or being inna war, but in some fights you just gotta find away to win, even if it doesn't look pretty. (granted there were a few laps around the olympic sized swimming pool of a boxing ring) I do see some decline in floyd though, and I think he wasn't impressed with his own performance either. Post conference he graded himseld with a C-. For me Id say a C+. Floyd hasnt really had much punching power at 47 but his punches seemed lacking pop. Looking more like B Hop. Landing right hands and initiating the clinch. Didnt really enjoy the fight tonite. Glad I didn't pay for them

Totally agree... Horrible gameplan of going slow early to try and conserve energy.. Maidana needed to pounce early and not let Floyd get into his comfort zone. All he did was allow Floyd to takeover yes, that in a nutshell is the difference between the first and the rematch... Floyd did won both; just toyed in the first to set-up the rematch...a genius on setting-up and hyping up fights.... though some slippages were beginning to show...

NOPE I gave him the 12th and he technically didnt "win" that round. Floyd gave it to him. I had it 11-1 Floyd. no question Floyd comfortably won this time... but 11-1? that's fanatical blindness....

fight looked eerily similar to the Canelo fight it was because Garcia had Marcos "conserving his energy", which did nothing, except give Floyd more rounds to bank early on everytime he pushed floyd to the ropes, he would nullify Floyd's offense in the first fight this time, he decided he would try to counter-punch Floyd in the center of the ring or just eat straight right-hands idiotic gameplan from robert garcia, what an overrated trainer Totally agree... I am very Impressed. Floyd is younger than me. You see ...none of you birch asses never had the blessing of boc=xing. This is tough. which is why many fighters resort to juicing. Floyd is what a great boxer looks like aging gradually I can't speak for everyone else........ nah hes juicing also.Everyone in sports juices at one time or another.I don't think anyone is clean anymore.

I could see the aging in this , was the worst Mayweather performance Ive seen , he said it himself saying it was a C grade performance and he felt dead flat .

Yeah cause Chino and Manny are on the same level lol..Manny would have turned Maidanas face into a bloody mess tonight. Floyd fans are delusional to think Manny wouldn't have given Floyd a great fight 3-4 years ago. Now, who cares really, they are both faded obviously and Floyd especially will get no,credit if he wins.
