Interesting match up, and one Haye would definitely try to avoid!
I think Toney wears Haye down, and scores a late stoppage. Let's not forget, Haye has stamina issues.
Exactly the way I see it going
lol Toney obviously. Toney would box Hayes ears off, Haye is a limited fighter while Toney is an atg. Get real, faqqot.
Toney is most certainly not an ATG at heavyweight.
:lol1: Come on guys,
Noone can SERIOUSLY pick Toney to beat Haye, any version!
Toney is little more than a punching bag for Haye and could never really land anything clean on him.
Haye went through an entire career barely even getting hit. And completely devastated pretty much every single opponent he ever faced.
He survived 12 rounds with Wlad and although he did not produce the sort of effort we expected, he stayed on the edge most of the fight and displayed some of the greatest skills ever exhibited in a HW fight.
There are massive reasons to hate on Haye and big points to pick on him for which I agree with.
But to claim that Haye would ever lose to this calibre of opposition is pretty much laughable.
The chances of Toney being able to score any sort of victory over Toney are so small they're barely worth considering. There are no amount of steroids or "master plan" that could have allowed Fat Toney to win.
Want to know what would have happened to James Toney were he to have fought WK instead of Haye?
WK KO5 Toney, after a major blood bath!

Really Weltsch? Both are ATG's, neither have a particularly brilliant HW career except Toney "scratches" by opponents at HW whereas Haye completely destroys them.
Toney takes a better punch than Haye, that's all I can say for him. Fortunately too cause he'd be taking inhuman punishment.
Not that I necessarily disagree, but I have to ask: Like who?
Haye never fought anyone with great defensive skills, other than Wlad - and with all due respect to James Toney, he's no Wlad at heavyweight.
So what do you base it on? Holyfield was done then, and Toney was very inactive when he fought. He didn't throw that many punches and certainly not hurtful ones at heavyweight.
I honestly can't see any other outcome than Haye absolutely smashing Toney.
The drugs wore off just for a small time for you to have a moment of clarity.. I cherish these moments of wisdom from you :lol1:
Yeah Haye obviously :D
I mean who can compete with the ATG opposition like
Shot never was anything Monte Barrett
Giant Punching Bag Valuev
Shot John Ruiz
Do I even have to say Shot? Harrison
and Never Was Derrick Chisora
Haye wasted 5 years at heavyweight and did absolutely nothing except bilk hard working peeps in the UK of their hard earned money. He does not even deserve to be compared to Holyfield or Toney
Comparing their accomplishments has nothing to do with a fantasy matchup between them.

A guy goes 12 with Wlad, but get's stopped by Toney? Honestly. No.
tough to call. holyfield was shot. haye doesn't look nearly as good when he gets guys that can defend and take a shot which toney was great at. haye had the big edge in handspeed and power tho and would maybe pot shot his way to a close decision win imo. no way hes starching toney tho. that guy was one of the toughest sob's ever in the sport

Haye would probably still beat the current heavyweights including Stiverne.
If the Klitschkos never existed, Haye would have the belts right now.
I would agree somewhat.
I'm not sure if Haye could beat Stiverne or his challengers (Klitschko's aside).
But I would have not much hesitation putting Haye forward as HW champion sans any Klitchko involvement.
He's among the best CW champions there ever was... And one of the slickest, probably the fastest HW's of all time and with great power too.
Only real weakness was really chin.
Toney was juiced to the grills for that fight and wasn't shot yet, so I wouldn't rule out him winning. He also wasn't the morbidly obese, immobile (he suffered a serious achilles tendon rupture not long after the Holyfield fight) sack of sh*t he became after.
Haye outclasses/beats the crap out of any version after that, though.
Lets not start trying to elevate Haye's status to make Wlad's win appear greater than it was.Haye's legacy at the weight is a sad and pathetic story.
Nobody is doing anything of the sort. WK has nothing to do with this topic.
I was just stating facts..
Haye would have belted any version of Toney, and that version of Holyfield, without fail!
