Is this potentially the best fight to be made in boxing? We have two young, undefeated, prime, world class cruiserweights both coming off there respective best wins. We have the fact that they have both cleaned up any loose ends in the division so there can be no one standing at the end adding uncertainty to there dominance. We have the added angle of Russia against Ukraine with it being played on a large scale at a neutral location which should limit the chance of a dodgy decision. In the end we will be left with the first fully unified cruiserweight champion since evader holyfield and first since the acceptance of the WBO title. Add in the fact that it will be recognised for the vacant ring title aswell as the Muhammed ali trophy and neither fighter could claim to not be motivated to win.

With him fighting 4 times a year do you think it is possible for him to break 'the executioners' record 20 defences? It wasn't untill Hopkins' 13th defence that he unified the WBC strap with his ibf title. It wasn't untill he beat Felix 'Tito' Trinidad in his 14th defence that he won The Ring middleweight title and became recognised as The Lineal champion. Can GGG make 11 more successful defences? Can he get Martinez in the ring within the next 5 fights and can he beat Hopkins record of Lineal title defences? Thoughts?

Just a quick thought, with super middleweight kingpin Andre Ward back in action soon against Edwin Rodriguez and unified champ Carl Froch fighting George Groves, we have two fights where the WBAs 'SUPER' title is on the line. Now if Karoly Balzsay (the WBAs regular champion) was to fight Robert stieglitz, the winner would be a unified champ, thus being elevated by the WBA to 'SUPER' champ status. This would leave the WBAs regular title vacant, thus bumping Stanyslav Kashtanov (the WBAs interim champ) to regular champ. If he was to sign to fight the winner of Bika-dirrel we would have another unified champ being bumped upto 'SUPER' champ. We would have 4 WBA SUPER super middleweight champions, all at the same time. Plus a regular and an interim champ because the WBA couldn't forget about them (as much as we'd want them too). Is this a world you want to live in? Is the super middleweight division that 'super' that we could have 4 super champions all at the same time?

Whenever I enter a thread on NSB talking about the hardest punchers in boxing I always see the same names. If we are talking about the past names like Ketchel, Foreman, Jackson come up all the time, same as when we talk about the present, it's always maidana, Matthysse, GGG. In both lists there is always one glaring omission, Ali 'the Yemeni Tyson' Raymi. This guy is the truth!!!! This 39 year old phenom is 17-0 with 17 1st round kos, against undefeated opposition. It is not long before he cleans up the minimum weight division, interim titles, full titles, super titles, diamond titles. We may have to invent a title just for him. If the politics of the sport don't stand in his way, I truly believe we have found the man to step up and defeat mayweather, by devastating 1st round ko no less. I would bet my house on this guy jumping to heavyweight and shattering Wlads glass jaw, then becoming the first to crack vitalis, but we no he only likes to smash undefeated fighters, lucky for the brothers K. I would have no problem declaring the sky is the limit for Raymi, if there wasn't a lingering doubt inside me that when he got up there he'd 1st round KO god and keep on going. Do you agree? What has happened over Guillermo Jones' alleged failed test after the Lebedev fight? Did he take a banned substance or are the Russian federation claiming false positives to protect their best fighter? Is that why the WBA haven't stripped him? Im interested to hear people's opinions on this, who would you have picked between Haye and : Lennox Lewis : frank Bruno : herbie hide : Henry Akinwande Personally I think he'd lose to Lewis, Bruno and Hide. If he fought like he did against valuev and wlad I think he could see the final bell, but if he tried to fight aggressively, I think he'd be a KO victim against all 3. Against Akinwande I could see him pot shotting much like he did against valuev and hoping for the big KO, which he would probably get considering Akinwande didn't have world class power to keep Haye off him and could be quite lazy with his jab.
