Assuming Floyd beats Maidana, who do you guys want to see him give a shot next? My vote as always is Pacquaio first but considering all of the drama associated with making that fight and all of the teasing over the years, I will say that its safe to assume that things will be no different this time around. That being said I wouldn't mind seeing JMM in with Floyd again if he is interested. Marquez says he wants a welter weight belt and Floyd has two of them and is considered the lineal champ. Floyd beat him easily years ago at 147, but for obvious reasons lots of people try to discredit that win so a rematch on even terms should be interesting since JMM has been at the weight for a few years now. But thats just my 2 pennies. What do you think?
It wont happen. Floyd already used up JMM. made him move up 3 divisions to fight him at a CW that He (Floyd) didnt even make. By coming in heavy. Paid off JMM 600k to fight him anyways...then when usually he steps on the unofficial scale...Floyd refused because he knew the weight advantage on the blown up slower little guy was insanely a mismatch.
Now JMM has had time to build ...No way he fights JMM again...especially after he starched out the man hes been ducking for years. Cowards dont do that.
so weight was the reason marquez couldn't land any punches on Floyd?

I am a huge fan of Dinamita, and I am also a huge fan of Floyd, that being said, I don't want to see my man Dinamita take another world class schooling at the hands of the p4p king. JMM has nothing left to prove in this sport, he has made his mark, and history, what happened that night has nothing to do with weight semantics, it was all boxing, and it was a two sided coin, on one side beautiful brillant boxing, on the other, a world class schooling.
Floyd made JMM look like an impotent little midget in their fight.
JMM got exposed as a one-dimensional counter puncher. He needs come forward fighters to look good.
Floyd wins 10/10 times.
Nah. There is no point at all in Mayweather/Marquez II and JMM is Top Rank. Why are people saying they want to see Mayweather/Bradley? like really? what does Tim Bradley bring to the table against Floyd? Tim is basically feather fisted and he damn sure ain't out slicking the greatest boxer of this generation. Not to mention he is a Top Rank fighter too.
I much rather see Mayweather/Khan if Amir gets a win against either The Ghost or Devon in november.
Floyd carried him before for 12 rounds. Floyd didnt wanna bully him. Now marquez is at welter, floyd would probably ko him. Styles make fights, same thing is gonna happen. Worst style for marquez, especially those who comes backwards.
Stylistically Floyd is all wrong for JMM and yes in the first fight I kept feeling that Floyd could have ended that fight by tko if he just let his hands go but, maybe not Marquez has shown over the years that he is not an easy out (k.o.) for anyone just ask Pacquiao, who knocked him down numerous times but could never knock him out.Dinamita is one tough hombre
even in that fight marquez looked slow... and no alvarado is not even close to bradley as a boxer... im a jmm fan and he should have retired after KTFO6... eventually JMM wont have anything left to offer as will Hopkins but that time is not right now for either guy. Great fighters adapt and adjust as certain skills erode and deminish. JMM is not taking any beatings in the ring right now and maybe he should retire before he becomes a stepping stone for up and comers but as of right now I think he has a legitimate shot at achieving his goal of winning a belt a WW.
I'm buying it, but I don't think alot of others will. People want super fights, not Floyd vs some guy with four losses(huge maidana fan). Showtime ****ed up by giving him so much money. Every fight can't be like cotto or canelo.
Im a real boxing fan, I really dont give a crap about how many losses a guy has as long as he isnt coming in off of a 3 fight losing streak or lost 3 str8 fights versus name fighters but has since put together a win streak fighting meter readers and bar tenders and then is in a major fight as cannon fodder vs a top guy. Styles make fights. With proper match making, hell I could go undefeated these days.
I think Alvarado is just as good a boxer as Bradley but probably with more pop and JMM handled him just fine.

no way, marquez is much older than those two and his downfall was evident at the bradley fight...I think Alvarado is just as good a boxer as Bradley but probably with more pop and JMM handled him just fine.

Woah, no one made Marquez do anything, he chose to move up two weight classes because from a risk vs reward stand point it made since to him and his handlers. He was coming off of winning the lineal championship at 135 so thats only two weight classes but still a huge jump. Floyd blew weight which I dont think he intended to make due to the fact that he was coming off of a long layoff etc, still a d@ck move by the way but he paid the penalty, Marquez gladly took it and accepted the fight like the warrior that he is. If they fight again I would definately root for JMM and I have never rooted against Floyd vs anyone but I am a bigger JMM fan these days.
Floyd doent box like he used to and neither does Pacquiao. I think they have both slowed down with age and weight. Should they retire as well?

or bradley...
marquez doesnt box like he used to, he speed is not the same anymore...
