Can maidana not just use cleto Reyes instead of pillow gloves?

Does this mean Maidana was using unfair gloves against all his past opponents? Did he use custom gloves that have less padding than is fair? If gloves are APPROVED then they are legit gloves. If they are NOT APPROVED then he can't fight with them. Simple as that! The only thing that is NOT cool is Floyd taking away Maidana's APPROVED gloves!

Maidana would hurt Floyd with puncher's gloves. That's why he won't be fighting in them. Maidana used his usual horsehair gloves vs. Amir Khan So when Floyd refuses to let Maidana use the same, basically I guess you could say Floyd is worried he's not as tough as Amir :boxing:

Horsehair isn't literally the hair of a horse. It's just an old-fashioned term that's used to describe acrylic fiber strands. They do resemble horsehair, but it's not actually organic material. Maidana would hurt Floyd with puncher's gloves. That's why he won't be fighting in them.

The issue could be solved if Maidana wasn't sponsored by them and he could just use the GRANT horse hair punchers gloves, the ones Kell Brook is going to use tonight and B hop and triple G use. Floyd uses Grants so I don't see why he would let Maidana wear Grant horse hairs.

Floyd also vetoed the Cleto's Ironically though, Floyd didn't mind horsehair gloves at all when Robert Guerrero was wearing them last year!!!

As I'd mentioned I personally was surprised the everlast mx gloves weren't illegal but it never used to be an issue. And the fact that he isn't allowed to use Reyes shows that floyd is the one trying to give himself an unfair advantage.

I'll admit the everlast mx maidana wanted to wear were a little lacking in padding but even still it's a ***** move on floyd's part to still demand that maidana wear pillows. I mean Broner fought a stronger maidana because of that! However I just thought why can't maidana just use a good old pair of cleto Reyes? Nobody can dispute the legality of those gloves. They have been and still are widely used. So there's no reason why maidana can't use Reyes. It's funny because I always tipped floyd to beat maidana and I still think he won, Marcos wasn't "robbed." Man I can't wait until mayweather retires. No more money team, no more redicilous monopolies on the sport from one fighter, no more people calling once of the most inactive champions TBE. I mean come on, if you can't even get punched by horsehair, which is still widely used, or by cleto Reyes, which has always been widely used, then you don't belong in the sport. This ******* once used Reyes himself and now he's like "like I said before, my health comes first." If you have to whine and moan to get someone to wear pillows rather than gloves that tons of fighters use today then you aren't "TBE" you're just a kid playing boxing.
