Seems Khan and Guerrero are gonna be fighting this fall, leaving Thurman and Alexander as an obvious fight. What's the damn hold up in getting Thurman a decent opponent? There was a video of Alexander saying he would fight Thurman just recently and I believe he would, he's fought a lot of good fighters already. Let's go Haymon, give the people what they want and get Thurman a Crack at a top 7-10 guy already!!!!
So the fighters Thurman calls out are automatically ducks when the fight doesn't happen. But when he's the one that's called out, you blame Haymon. Does that make sense? He has no say? Then why are we even wasting time with this One Time guy? His life depends on Haymon. Lol. He's no different from Leo Santa Cruz.
I'm not calling the other fighters ducks, at all.
Thurman at the moment has beaten nobody, brings no money to the table and really there is nothing to make a top fighter interested in a fight against him. If he fighrs one of the better guys and loses, he will be branded 'over-rated'...
I don't even know if he wants to fight the people he calls out, but he can do it and then blame Haymon if he fights another bum instead.
It's a ranked opponent, that makes it a step up.
I think Alexander is completely average and was out boxed by Porter, but it's still a step in the right direction.
Thurman can call the name of any fighter, but Haymon is in charge so it's pointless.

I wouldn't say Porter outboxed Alexander so much as he muscled the sh*t out of him in a bar fight.
He certainly did that too.
Even on the outside though, Porter was getting the better of him. Landing one-two's, hurting him with clean punches...it's the best Porter has looked, which for me says as much about Alexander.

People in the media need to do some digging why this fight is not happening.
Are we to believe that Thurman has no power at all in making this fight happen?
It sure seems like an obvious and easy fight to make if team Alexander is willing. Why couldn't Golden Boy get a better fight for Garcia? Golden Boy is making some good fights but they could do much better. Is Haymon really working for the many fighters he is supposed to be working for and trying to get them all the best possible fights? It sure doesn't look like it. I never heard of one guy representing such a large number of fighters. If he represents Thurman he sure hasn't done much for him. It seems like Haymon is often keeping good fights from happening.
He's not getting any one bigger then thurman. Already had bradley, matthysee, maidana, porter. Who's bigger then thurman that he's realistically gonna get now?? He just fought SK for christ sake.
Yep agree with you but am sure they don't see it that way.. They would wait it out.
