Shameful and disgusting.
Paulie Malignaggi SELLING OUT and defending this garbage. Nobody was looking out for Salka and this was basically a lamb (dont even think about it middle east) being led to slaughter. The people involved in setting up this fight are lucky that Salka wasnt seriously hurt otherwise there should be charges for setting up this complete and dangerous mismatch.
Shame on you showtime for sanctioning this fight vs the best 140 pounder in the world vs the 77th ranked lightweight with 3 kos.
Somebody needs to stop that gangster Al Haymon from destroying this sport. This sport was born with cancer. Al Haymon trying to give it full blown aids.
Good thing boxing has a very strong immune system.
smdh.
you all disgust me.
you know who you are.
Great boxing & great comeback fight for Garcia? You probably love the Pacquiao-Algieri fight too & I don't blame you for that...it's a better fight than the Danny-Salka mismatch. At least Manny isn't bringing the 77th best fighter at 130lbs up to his weight class. Algieri also has the height & reach advantage over Pacquiao & can box pretty well.
If you don't like the Pacquiao-Agieri fight...then we understand your double standards.
at least algieri has been in and beaten a noteworthy name in boxing. Salka was the 77th ranked lightweight in the world with 3 kos and they used a catchweight to boot.
pacquiao algieri is legitimate and leagues above garcia salka. there is no comparison.
I don't see things the same was as your ilk I guess. What I saw was an excellent and entertaining triple header from top to bottom. 3 fights, 3 knock outs! Great inspirational stories, great boxing, and great comeback fights for Peterson and Garcia. If you think something about this card was bad, then why watch it?

I agree wholeheartedly, my friend.
This card, particularly this fight and the manner in which it was conducted has had me seriously considering ending my love affair with boxing tonight. I personally won't be hanging around much longer with the way things are heading in this business/sport.
I like Paulie as a fighter and commentator, but not everything can be taken seriously from him especially if you consider:
1) After Diaz loss: "You have guys like Raul Caiz. That's Golden Boy's gopher. I said it before and he actually was."
Then signs with them some time after.
https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/malignaggi-beef-exposes-bigger-problem-045900884--box.html
2) Remember this: “With Pacquiao, I have my reasons why I think he’s on something"
Then trains at Wild Card there under Eric Brown.

3) After Broner: “Tom Schreck is a New York judge that was in Al Haymon’s pocket”.
You get the pattern.

Are you fúcking kidding me? :lol1: Christ. It's like you're standing at the podium at the post-fight press conference representing Haymon & co.
The fight definitely was a crime where morality is concerned. Then I see a bunch of people smiling and cheering after the win as if Danny fought a hard-earned fight. Just disgusting and Danny's stock dropped after this fight. He'll get eaten alive at 147 and can't wait to see someone knock him out cold in the division.
It's a tricky one, because he has to be professional, and I could sorta tell in the voices of all the team that they knew this fight wasn't legit.
However, Paulie has positioned himself as the truth sayer on boxing, so when you play company man when it suits you, people are entitled to call you out on it. It also really shows that a lot of his rants are self-serving.
he's a vindictive, racist, two faced phony.
just because you tell the truth sometimes doesnt make a you a truthful person.
paulie malignaggi is a FRAUDULENT ASS BEYOTCH.
NOBODY SHOULD EVER USE THIS GUY AS A POINT OF REFERENCE FOR "KEEPING IT REAL" because he is a two faced c*ck sucking shameless floyd/al haymon whore.
I wonder.. If Salka got hurt like seriously hurt, or worse how quick showtime would be to mismatch as their main event? Might be interesting to find out.
That was disgusting but you can't blame Garcia for it. Blame his management, Garcia has proven that he is willing to fight who ever they put in front of him.
He put the lights out against Khan and fought Lucas when no one else would.
of course you can blame garcia. ultimately its his choice.
funny how you repugnant flowmoes love to trash manny for saying its up to my promoter but when a fighter associated with floyd/al haymon use the same words you defend and rationalize it.
GTFO.
I don't understand how you feel dirty. You knew it was gonna be a beatdown.
A decent chuck of ATG resumes like JCC, SRR Duran etc comes from destroying Salsas
This kind of thing has been going on since the beginning
I find it funny, just now you guys realize this was a brutal mismatch that could hurt Salka's well being (hope he is ok). All i saw during the build up to the fight was Rod Salka getting clowned left and right smh. Respect to Salka, at least he got a nice pay day today..
we were making fun of his name but really we were indirectly making fun of his anonymity and cherry picking ways of garcia.
why would we actually make fun of a guy who is the 77th ranked lightweight in the world with 3 kos being led to slaughter against the best 140 pounder in the world?
learn to read between the lines.
Having a world class fighter with dangerous punching power fighting such an out of his depth opponent, just so the name fighter can get easy money.....and then seeing the opponent getting knocked out so brutally....
Nah. That ain't boxing to me.
Whatever Haymon thinks he was doing tonight, it ain't boxing.
That was genuinely disturbing. Wonder if Haymon felt bad seeing that sh*t. Because that was ****ing cruel.
Of course he isn't. He's just there to do his job, making sure his fighters get paid. Al Haymon is destroying boxing little by little. God forbid Salka sustains any real damage afterwards ala Abdulsalamav. Haymon is a piece of s***

Not sure what Paulie was going on about.
Haymon is a scumbag. He changed the opponent from an already overmatched Gabriel Bracero, to an over-matched opponent in Salka from two divisions below.
