Good ole Vic knew they were cutting it close....
Chaves was up by a point on two cards. Rios was up a point on the other card at the time of the DQ— Kevin Iole (@KevinI) August 3, 2014
LOL, imagine if he reffed a Ward fight
LOOL at Ward trying to defend all the **** that was happening in that fight, he knew he did worse against Kessler
That was some of the most pathetic refereeing I have ever seen. I also knew Vargas was going to win most of the rounds after watching a close fight. Thisshould have been a great night of boxing and wasn't because of the typical incompetence of judges and refs.
This is why Smoger is the BEST REF. I hate when refs bet involved in the fight. The boxers start to look for breaks.
Rios' biggest victory for his fight was his $925K paycheck. Chaves' stock rose despite the DQ. He's a live body in the 147 lb. division. Danny Garcia and his dad would crap their pants trying to fight him.
No doubt in my mind Rios was on his way to his 3rd Straight Loss which would have been really hard for him to bounce back from
Both was Dirty, Rios was Dropping his head and robbing it in Chaves Face
But Ref allowed things to get dirty inside by not stepping in and quickly breaking, he would just allow them BOTH to do dirty stuff inside.
this, he even said he didn't want chaves, he wanted something light like salka

Why is that a reason? There was 4 rounds left and plenty of time for Rios to get back on top.
it was a 10 rounder.. hope they feed rios to provo next.. there should have only been 1 point deduction for both guys to get them to straighten up and leave it at that
