I agree. He was just caught off balance like he said. He was unhurt and got his opponent out of there in no time at all. I think Hopkins is one of the greatest fighters of all time. He promised his mother he would retire at 40. I believe Kovalev will be the one to KO Hopkins and convince him to retire unless the referee DQs Kovalev for punching too hard. What should also be said is that: he was caught off balance because Caparello stepped on his foot. Kellerman said it shouldn't of been a KD in his opinion, and I agree. People over thinking this fight just like Kovas last fight. People going add far as saying he got hit repeatedly? Come on. He always stats slow in Rd 1. Then preceded to destroy him in Rd 2.

I think he's just a little starstruck at the fact the fight was made so easily. Is Hopkins a GBP or Haymon fighter? (or both?) He just got through with calling Stevenson a "piece of schit" and lost that great oppourtunity. Stevenson was just on Showtime saying about Kovalev "maybe if the money. my promoter." and about Hopkins "The fans want HOPKINS!!!!" So it seemed Showtime and Haymon could/would put together Stevenson-Hopkins, but nope. Krusher vs The Alien.. its on!!! Hopkins is a partner in GBP, he obviously knows Haymon but basically Hopkins represents Hopkins - he's a big enough fish to essentially choose his own fights.

Not only that but Kovalev was making sure he understood what Hopkins was saying by sticking close to his translator because Kovalev actually wanted to be involved in the verbal jousting as he seems to enjoy it but Kellerman blew it. True, but that stuff really doesn't matter....Another example would be that Bradley owned Pac verbally and Pac just sat there smiling and laughing like a little submissive 12 year old...Yet look what happened when they fought...Pac dominated. I remember when everyone was saying Rampage was gonna destroy Machida because he looked so "alpha" when they were starring each other down....And I was thinking STFU...... I did notice that when Bhop was talking Kovolev would not look at him, nor when Bhop kept trying to look at him Kovolov wouldn't make eye contact. I'm not making this up. Somebody go check it out. The knockdown wasn't even a knockdown....He stepped on his foot and the momentum pushed him off balance for ****s sake....Which happens alot when Orthodox fights Southpaws....... I didn't see the holes B-Hop could exploit, but I saw some Stevenson could. Kovalev was wide open to the left hand, he repeatedly got caught with it and only really took control of the fight when Caparello stopped throwing it. Repeatedly? I'll have to watch again because I didn't see Caparello landing repeatedly.

I think kovolev pressed the fight to look good and got a bit sloppy but still dominated... I think kovolev is gonna walk down Bernard and stop him midway thru the fight.. I don't like Bernard's chances at all vs kovolev
