i keep hearing this
but what is the real truth...is this a modern myth
some say yes, some say no
personally..i feel what comes with sex is bad...i.e. late nights, drinking, partying etc
but sex and then right back to training n healthy eating is ok?
is it a mental thing
Yes it does.
Mans motivation is is to impregnate woman. That's what evolution did for us. By having sex, you lose motivation, lose energy, burn up testosterone, lose focus, etc etc.
Not having sex will actually lower ur testosterone levels.. having sex will rise them. But for some people its all mental so if not having sex gives you a sense of confidence by all means do so.
Depends on the person.. Its a mental thing.. After 2 months of no ejaculation, more or less, a persons testosterone count starts to decline.. I think it was Maidana who said he has sex all the time.. Even the night before a fight.. Ali would go his entire camp without sex though.. So just depends
This explains why I feel a negative effect at the gym after masturbation and not sex. I always thought it was just in my head... Thats just weird.
I haven't done it for a very long time and I must say that I feel much better. Sex, on the other side, doesn't affect you at all ( as long as you dont do it 2 hours before your fight lol).
Busting makes you lose your testosterone...its a male hormone. When you release that, you become less aggressive and docile. This why they let men f^cc men in prison!!!
lmbo at you clowns trying to sound like physicians! The truth of the matter is , its a life style matter! Sex can either motivate or de-motivate, depending
on your physical and mental abilities! True you probably dont want to deplete your testosterone before you participate in any sporting event. Esp if you already have low testosterone issues. But people are different, some will build
it back up faster than others. And IMO the way i see it. If your a healthy fit confident athlete, you probably not going to notice a difference if you do or dont.
never competed in professional sports but i never believe this. i mean unless u're a sex machine that can go on for 10+ hrs. or if u have sex 30min right before the fight then maybe. but if u bone some chick weeks before the fight or days before the fight how can this effect u??
I know that if I'm in a drought where I haven't had any cooch in a while, I'm edgy and even quick-tempered. On the other hand, after I've had some, I'm more mellow up to a week later. I think the belief is a fighter who hasn't had sex in a while actually has a build up of testosterone in his system. Since testosterone is a hormone of aggression, it's advantageous to have more in the system before a fight.
From what I#ve read sex is not a problem. Masturbation is an issue though. I can#t explain why, but according to some scientists, both practice have different effects on your mind and body.
The feeling of busting a nut is a reward for keeping the human race alive.
By jerking it, you give your body and mind a false sense of satisfaction, hence why after sex or jerking you, don't feel like doing ****. You've accomplished your main goal in life.
You lose testosterone if you go too long without that release. Your body replaces what you lose during the day in your sleep. If you're not having that regular release then your body won't need to replace as much, thus your testosterone levels will decline. Have sex daily, but get good sleep to replenish and you'll be hitting harder than ever before... and your opponent will be knocked out cos he believed in the stupid myth that sex weakens your legs.
There is a video on YouTube of Chris Byrd (ESPN Sport Science) where he actually performs BETTER after sex. So maybe it is individual?

Well technically sperm is protein and if you're going ejaculate it's essentially taking that protein away from your body. I think it does have some sort of negative factor but I've never been a pro or tested the science before a sparring session however I can say it did affect my weight training in terms of going in lethargic and weaker. My buddies also stated the same for the weight training.
Really? Ive never tested the theory in the OP but I've had some of my best weight training right after sex. No lie.

As crazy as this sounds, it has truth to it.
If you are trying to pour your heart soul and body into your training, you can have no distractions to reach peak levels. Women are definitely a distraction. A pleasurable distraction... But a distraction.
Try getting some cooch before a 12 round boxing match, it will make a difference, a male ejaculation takes away testosterone amongst various nutrients... Its equivilant to taking 4 meals out of your body
