The fight last night with Provo has me thinking...GGG is somewhat a victim of his own success. Everyone says he hasn't fought anyone while simultaneously ignoring that most credible fighters view him as high risk low reward so Its hard for him to get a credible opponent until now. That being said, a lot of people still think the verdict is out on whether GGG is truly a P4P fighter. I actually think Geale is a more credible fight than Chavez Jr. (Although probably not as exciting). Personally I think what makes GGG dangerous is that he developed strong fundamentals from his amateur background that Provo doesn't have which would make it hard for someone to outbox him besides Maybe ward at 168. I'm not trolling, I seriously want to hear you guys opinion.
are u serious
even if GGG had just average power he would still be the best MW in the world...his boxing skills are world class and at the highest level...its just that he has all that power and his skills take a back seat....but trust me all the skills are there...and like Max said in the Proksa fight he cant remember the last MW with that kind of power combined with the skills of GGG...he is a rare breed indeed...
GGG was 345-5 as an amateur and an Olympic Silver Medalist. So, the reason why he is so scary is besides having power he knows how to actually use it efficiently. When to step up the aggression and when to take his foot off the gas.
I give Geale a chance to beat GGG, but he won't "out box" him the way Algieri did to Provo. Factor out the eye, because that was one left hook and Chris did out box Ruslan.
If Geale does win it will be one of those where he himself barely walks out on his feet like Bradley did with Ruslan.
I agree he will have to walk through hell to pull out the victory

And he never will because anybody he fights will be a bum until he loses.... and probably even then, it'll be a bum who exposed GGG as the bum he is
:bottle::bottle::bottle:
ggg hasn't fought anyone near as skilled as algieri so who knows???

Im pretty sure the Showtime commentators said (cant remember the fight) that GGG has the most accurate or most landed jab out of all current champions.
So prov and GGG are miles apart IMO
I must say your analysis of the Alvarado fight was spot on. A lot of people tend to miss things when a fighter is able to pull out a win in that fashion.
Thank you but I think it's more a case of in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king or can see in my case.
Or maybe Sergio Mart.......awww too soon?
I kid I kid. But seriously. Vera gave Mora hell twice.
Those were close and a little controversial... Mora shoulda got the look... but Vera did give him troubles
I agree that Mora might be able to pull it off. That's why I want to see it more than any other middleweight fight right now.

Mora is about the only guy at mw that could pull off what algieri did to ruslan on ggg...
I actually would love to see mora vs ggg... I think that would be an interesting test for ggg, and the only guy to realistically be able to outbox ggg at mw
I don't see personally.
The old Mora would give more trouble because he's elusive and hard to hit, but if GGG backs him to the ropes and keeps up the punches, Mora usually loses rounds to that. Vera fights were controversial, but he brought the fight to Mora.
Mora also shot himself in the foot with lapses of inactivity.
The New Mora is more open with his offense, but also takes more than he used to, which is a bad thing.
Mora opening his offense more and getting KO's, so maybe HBO will be more open in the future. Don't see it next though, they'll probably give priority to Solimon
I highly, highly doubt it. GGG can be frozen by activity, but he is not a walk forward brawler. He works behind his jab and uses boxing to deliver his power.
I've seen a lot of people saying because Provo went down, GGG is next. Hypes of the fight, but nowhere near being comparable.
Mikhnienko already pointed out the obvious reasons.
Really surprised at the number of people who think this... even Sergio Mora who knows better than this
