Past prime double standard (Cotto)

That's the problem. We didnt get to see the best of Cotto because Martinez was falling appart from round 1. I wonder why this was the case? I mean, it did kind of like notice this huge, flush left hook counter over his right jab, but I mean that couldn't have meant a thing despite having the man doing some kind of Argentinian dance right after it connected, it must be some kind of ritual in his home country to do a dance like that after you get hit hard.

Sergio's legs were badly diminished and he wasn't jabbing, never led with the left, didn't move his head, no side to side movement. Cotto looked like he was built in a factory or something, a well-oiled machine. If this is the level that Cotto is going to be competing at from here on out or the next few years at least, he should just take out Golovkin and then end Floyd's career. I don't see anyone out there beating this new Cotto that we saw last night.

No he's not as good as he was in his prime, but in his prime he was so good that even the current deteriorated version of Martinez is a formidable fighter therefor Cotto deserves credit for this victory.
