Some people think I get to harsh on fans when BS flows from their mouths??? Seriously he might go in the Argentinian HoF but he won't get in globally and he damn sure isn't a Great Fighter. Hell he doesn't even fight he's another runner who BS his way through fights. It's one thing to support your favorite fighter and it's another to know what your looking at. True, MArtinez looked like garbage but I can't take anything away from Cotto, he looked like he was hitting on every cylinder. Whatever program that conditioning guy has Cotto on is soon to be the "in-thing" because , I've never seen Cotto look that good on his best day.

You think so? I would disagree. There's lots of boxers out there that would love to say "I beat Martinez". If Martinez can't even be competitive with an average boxer like Cotto he needs to retire. Physically he's done. Cotto is an average boxer? You don't know anything about the sport.

He definitely needs to retire, no farewell fights, no nothing. Those surgically repaired knees should be used for everyday mobility, not competing at the highest level of sports. And frankly it's getting hard to watch a warrior like Sergio on the canvas multiple times a fight, often not even due to a knockdown. this. sergio's made a lot of money. he can go back to argentina and live like a welthy man for the rest of his life. you need your knees to get around. it's not like hand problems, or even head trauma. sergio's body is not fit for boxing any longer. he should have had the opportunity to retire last night on HBO. kellerman blew the interview by not asking him about his plans for the future.

As we were watching the ring entrance my dad made an observation as Martinez was about to step into the ring. He said what's up with Sergio he is taking a lot of time to climb through the ropes almost as he is embracing the feeling of being up there one last time, I wonder if he feels like this is his last fight, this boys head isn't in the fight tonight, it's somewhere else. I personally didn't notice what he was talking about but damn my pops had it right I guess.

Spectacular run by a great champion. Sergio had a great career but don't get it twisted. Miguel was the best opponent Sergio every fought and was throughly destroyed. I for one never saw that coming. Huge props to both guys I thought Martinez had this even if at 70% of what he once was but that wasnt even 50% of prime Martinez. I mean he literally has no knees left, the speed, power, endurance, footwork, all gone. He's clearly shot to pieces and I dont mean to be a jerk, but anyone would have beaten the crap out of him showing up in that shape. I just cant believe he got into the ring in such a condition.
