TBE next opponent on Sept 13th according to WSOB is

From The Worldwide Sport Of Boxing According to our sources, we have been informed that at first, Amir Khan was offered the fight against Floyd Mayweather. Khan was unable to take the September date due to religious beliefs (he is observing Ramadan) and Mayweather vs. Khan is highly likely for May 2015. Then. the second option was a rematch with Marcos Maidana. However, following the Pay-Per-View numbers for Mayweather vs. Maidana - which were the highest PPV numbers so far this year (but now look set to be beaten by Froch vs. Groves 2), yet still regarded as slightly disappointing for a Mayweather PPV bout - Showtime began to push for Mayweather vs. Garcia rather than Mayweather vs. Maidana 2. An offer was made to Garcia and a deal is now almost done. According to our sources, the co-feature on September 13th looks set to be Marcos Maidana vs. Keith Thurman. The deal is almost done, what are your thoughts on this fight?? Also its been rumored that El Chino vs One Time will be on the Undercard. What are your thoughts? Would you buy the PPV with this Card? Not a bad one to me. Tell me what you guys think

Showtime is cutting TBE 32 million check per fight...if they don't want Chino to rematch TBE because of the awful PPV numbers..Haymon, Ellebe and TBE isn't going to put up too much resistant. Will Swift move the PPV needle, probably or probably not but Showtime is putting up the money and they don't want Chino so he is out..don't blame TBE for this. It's like the network version of depends on my promoter

At least Maidana had a win against Broner going for him. Danny Garcia is a nobody to anybody but hardcore fight fans. He is not Mexican and will not get their support on their independance day. I see a 600-700k PPV, less if Top Rank puts Chavez Jr. on the same night... I think it's all about economic at this point especially with TBE having only three fights left.

**** fights so Haymon can puppeteer some more! Floyd had a tough fight with Maidana and doesn't want to take a chance of getting hit high or on back of head and losing everything. Haymon wants to ruin Maidana because he's a willing punching bag that's kind of a threat right now and he doesn't advise him so he needs him out of the way. Haymon still trying to take advantage of GBP's even though he was busted being a rip off artist. Garcia was just schooled by Herrera so he gets a shot? No hype no interest!! with no chance of winning even one round. The only thing this card would be worth watching for would be for MAidana to shock and KO Thurman but we all know **** will be stacked against him and Thurman will get every advantage. More than he gained from fighting somebody with 7 losses and not a single good win on his resume. Maidana has lost against every elite fighter he's fought. Come on man, Thurman is OK but in 2012 no one knew who the guy was while Karas was a known name. Why even fight the guy? I see why Chino's manager saw no benefit in it. Lets get real, even today, Thurman's last fight as of right now was some beaten tomato can. Maidana's last fight was Mayweather, and he gave him hell.

So Swift fighting Pac-Man is ok but Swift vs. TBE is a mismatch? This show how highly you think of TBE over Pac-Man. You floydiots still dont get. You call him TBE but he's not fighting the best possible opponent at a given time. Ali fought everybody, even beat the odds against foreman. Pacquiao fought beyond his limits by fighting oscar, cotto and margarito. And what floyd does? He cherry picks and stays in his comfort zone. There's nothing else left for floyd in 147, let alone fighting a 140 hahaha that'sthe TBE for you? The boxing world knows that he can easily beat pacquiao, but his phobia of the pacman is mind blowing. So the fight between a 154 champ against a 140 titlist is obviously not OK. Remember the marquez fight? And garcia is nowhere near jmm. But pacquiao vs garcia is definitely a good fight because of their style. And again, floyd beats pac easily but his cowardice gave it all away. And history will remember that and the best ever will regret that forever. Shame.

:lol1: been a while since I've been in "F*CK FLOYD" mode.....I mean you have to go all the way back to the Mosley fight to find a fight that I wanted to see him get beat in....oh well, like I said before, Swift is not on the levels of a Floyd or Pac those dudes are supposed to tame the young lions because big dogs gotta school the pups....but don't expect me not to say...Swift gonna ice that motherf*cker!!....Floyd might wanna give the fans another treat and Swift is known for hitting the lottery in his big fights....somebody's 0 has got to go!! I hope its at 140.....then again, I hope this is just a rumor!!....Floyd vs Chino does better numbers a second time around imo

well, that has always been the formula.... a mismatch pbf main loaded with a lot of very good under cards... and the self-proclaimed tbe bragging on his ppv clout... but anyway, boxing is the main topic... and i don't mind and indeed enjoy watching exciting fights before sleeping mostly b4 the 3rd round of the so called main feature..... You are paying for it and that all that count with Showtime.

This actually makes the most sense. Thurman is not ready for Mayweather just yet, Maidana probably needs one more major win to merit a rematch, you put the two together in a fight that could be Fight of the Year on the undercard of a Mayweather PPV and one of two things can happen: Maidana gets big hype for a Mayweather rematch in 2015, or Thurman turns in a star making performance which, coupled with a potential title fight with Shawn Porter down the road, make him a viable and popular contender to Mayweather going forward as well. Meanwhile, Mayweather takes on the best possible available opponent, without having to give up anything in size (i.e. a Sergio Martinez match) and still retaining the big speed advantage he likes to have over all his opponents. Still expect to see Mayweather take on Khan in May 2015 at Wembley, but the winner of the undercard match could very well be the challenger in the sixth and final fight. If Thurman Knocks out Maidana and if Lara beats Canelo, then those two could earn the Mayweather fight in May.
