Damn, how do all you believers feel about this guy taking Algieri over Provodnikov?
Once again our prophet and Dear Leader Glaser is proven correct.:notworthy

he was doing well until that beauty, dunno where he came up with that prediction :pat: :pat:
There are a lot of guys like that in boxing. In Chicago, the "losers" on Eight Count Production cards all literally ride together in the same van from Indiana. (I've seen them all pile out and all pile back in again.)
I wouldn't call the guy driving that van from Indiana a "matchmaker" though.
:lol1::lol1::lol1:
You guys can laugh all you want now, but I hear Rick is on Oscar's short list of replacement CEO along with Mario Lopez

De La Hoya even follows Glaser on twitter. He's clearly the next CEO.
Fair point. If I want impartial analysis in future I'll go to the guy who's avatar is a picture of Mayweather sitting on a throne.
Riight. Nice Leslie Nielsen AVi btw.
Glaser at it again
Bernard Hopkins unhappy with#GBP as his stock hasn***39;t generated any dividends, which means GBP has never made a profit! That***39;s right! #boxing— Rick Glaser (@RickGlaser1) June 4, 2014
That's not a true or accurate statement.. A company can be profitable, but not pay dividends..just because you don't get a dividend doesn't mean it's not profitable, just that executives are using the excess cash to build the business as oppose to paying dividends. Apple never paid a dividend until a year ago.. Hardly any growing company pays a dividend.. eBay doesn't, and countless others..
I'm sure Hopkins stock has appreciated and is worth more than his original investment, even though he hasn't been paid a dividend..
That reads more like a promotional ad. "Legendary, Colorful Matchmaker"
:lol1:
Exactly. This cracked me up:
"The next year, Glaser again made boxing world headlines after he convinced undefeated welterweight contender James de la Rosa to sign with Don King after de la Rosa had declared bankruptcy and gotten out of his contract with Dino Duva."
Who is James de la Rosa? :lame:
Also this: "In 1992, Glaser started handling Roberto Duran with Pennsylvania promoter Mike Acri. The two put together the Duran-Tony Biglen match in Buffalo."
Ah yes, the LEGENDARY Biglen-Duran fight. :notworthy
Glaser isn't a "matchmaker" as much as the guy promoters call to provide "opponents" at the last minute who are expected to get knocked out. Glaser admitted he even helped build Peter McNeeley's record by providing most of the set-ups for his wins.
I guess you'd call that a matchmaker. He's not exactly wheeling and dealing as much as calling around to see which bum is willing to show up for a couple rounds and then go down for $500.

Rebels? Glaser has been around for 30 years, most of them as Don King's right hand guy and he still is. He defends King left and right but everyone else are pieces of **** in his eyes. He self admitted on Twitter that he hates DiBella because Lou owes him like a grand from five years ago. But if DiBella pays him, then Glaser will leave him alone. Rebel or extortion?
