Provodnikov to Bradley. That was basically a win for Ruslan.

If that's the face of a winner then.........I'd rather lose the fight :boxing:
Depends on how many in proportion to his wins, and the quality of the opposition he lost to.
I agree. A loss here and there isn't a big deal as long as it is against great opposition. If you get trashed by subpar comp in consecutive fights, it might be time to hang em up.
Do losses matter? Context. Same as do wins matter? Does it matter if you win if you had a CW or didn't let your opponent wear the gloves the wanted, or you win a fight but clearly lost. Boasting a unbeaten record when you potentially have 3 losses on your resume. Its all about context.
If you didn't fight who you were supposed to fight, then your zero might mean jack.
Yes, but not nearly as much as people think they do.
All the current great fighters have losses with the exception of Mayweather.
Martinez
Hopkins
Pacquiao
Bradley
Marquez
Donaire
Klitschko
If you are a boxer with an Olympic background or a hyped up prospect in general then yes, but if you are Jhonney Gonzalez or Orlando Salido and have to literally punch your way to the top then no. Why? Cuz no one really gave you a chance anyways. How many rated Salido to be something when he was 6-5-1?
Suppose it depends on the opposition, the timing, the manner.
But having losses on your record..nah, not at all. Almost all the greats had them. Ali..Hearns, Hagler, Duran, Leonard, Robinson had them because they faced their feared rivals and challenged themselves. Nothing but respect for fighters like that.
Well if you continue to fight among the elite, there's no shame in losing. Of course, the whole point is to win. You won't find one boxer who wouldn't want to be undefeated.
some people prefer guys who pick and chose their opponents/avoid the best and go undefeated as a result. Others prefer guys that take on all comers even though they may lose the odd one now and then.
I agree. thats why I always respected guys like dlh and mosely who risked there undefeated records fighting the best at there best instead of cherry picking like mayweather
