Why does khan think he's good. One fight in the 147 and he thinks he can beat mayweather. His glass jaw will not be able 2 keep up in the welterweight division
Yeah, why does Khan think he is any good? Why does he have ambition? Why does he want to test himself against the best in the game? Why does he have confidence? Why does he even box? Heck, why does he even live? He has no right to live on the same planet as Floyd, let alone fight him.
Seriously...
before the fight it was close to 50/50 here on whether kahn would beat collazo. After kahn schools and owns him it suddenly becomes collazo was a bum.
I'm no kahn fan but am coming to like him, he's entertaining to watch and you at least gotta like his heart and the way he has come through some big defeats and has knuckled down and improved tremendously as a result.
The amount of abuse Khan is getting you wouldn't have to have watched the fight to know he did well against Collazo.
Khan is a good addition to the welterweight division.
Will he get stopped at some point over the next two years? He obviously will because of the level he fights at.
But he has always been willing to fight the best.
Some of the saddos on here would be wanking themselves off if someone like Thurman to lay Khan out.
The 'hate' he receives is a bit unsavoury.
100% true, know body is saying he is the best, even his fans ( most of them) but he is in a good fight all the time, and if you hate him its good to see him getting k.o ed
He thinks beating collazo and knocking him down 100% proves he is the biggest puncher in the welterweight division :pat:
No, but Collazo was being considered the southpaw second coming of Julian Jackson after the Ortiz bout.
A lot of angry bitter bums are upset that Khan dominated Collazo, as 99% of them said he would get knocked out
I guess they feel short changed they didnt see the infamous Khan dance
Swallow the pill you bums...lmao
Khan does say some dumb ****, but you have to respect him for taking a lot of tough fight's. He's doing pretty much what Joe calzaghe get's dissed for not doing... fighting in America in his prime.
Khan's punch resistance isn't the greatest but it is far from being a glass chin as the OP is suggesting. It's more to do with weight-draining than an inherently bad chin. Remember when Khan first moved up to 140 and he wasn't weight drained he took a few bombs from Maidana, clean, and didn't even hit the canvas. Those are the same bombs that dropped Broner, Ortiz, Lopez, Karass in fact the same bombs that stopped 80% of Maidana's opponents. Khan took them and kept fighting, didn't even hit the deck purely because he wasn't weight-drained in that fight.
Now at 147 he's again looking stronger at the weight just like his early 140 days. I think he just outgrew 140 weight-division and that's part of the reason his punch resistance was starting to deteriorate. At 147, in theory at least, he'll be able to take punches as hard as, or harder than Maidana's without too much difficulty.

I used to loath Khan a few years ago but that's change over the years. Im still not really a fan of his but I respect Khan for the road he's traveled to get to this point. He's fought a lot of different styles. He wasn't a fighter that was protected. And listening to him talk boxing, especially in fights he's not involved in, has really impressed me. I think he has a very sharp boxing mind. And I can see him becoming either a successful boxing trainer or commentator.
As far as boxing goes he's not available for a September fight with Mayweather. He's said that himself. He's going to have to beat a top WW contender/champion to get his shot. Like it or not it's the simple truth.
