I don't think maidana won the fight in my opinion, but man did floyd look a lot slower and not invincible. He looked very beatable in this fight, which is a scary thought for money because he wont be getting guys to respect him like Guerrero and canelo did, they arent going to be intimidated.
It was clear that a lot of times it was in fact by choice. Especially in the first two rounds when Floyd just went through a barrage of punches on the ropes, Maidana backs off and gives him space for a few seconds and Floyd just looks at him and goes back to the ropes again. There was no reason for him not to move out of that spot at moments like that, he had shown that he could maneuver himself out of the ropes easily in other moments.
I agree. Floyd's upper body reflexes were the same, still super fast. And his footspeed was still there as well, he just didn't use it much and chose to fight off the ropes a lot.maybe because... gasp...floyd was tired, people can get tired you know. or maybe maidana forced him on the ropes, he literally talked him into the ropes in the 11th
He stayed there not because of choice.
Clearly Maidana and team had a great gameplan.
It's such a lame excuse from Floyd to say he did it for the fans... I give Maidana props he almost did the unthinkable.

old and slow? Lol. People aren't going to give Chino the credit he deserves because its Floyd he fought. Floyd looked good to me, Chino is just really ackward and a good fighter.

Exactly. People wanted to see Floyd look human they got it and they still complain even though Floyd still out fought him with maidan as dirty tactics and all Floyd was using dirty tactics as well. especially excessive holding. Also he benefited from weeks breaking them instantly when he wasn't supposed to. Even though thats not mayweathers fault.
Mayweather stayed on the ropes too long and was not pivoting or what the haters say running.

People at least have to shut up with the "No one exists that can compete with Floyd, he's too skilled and too smart and too good and I want to have his babies" crap.
You know how they are. They do this with pretty much every fighter. If the fight ends up being usually close, then that fighter has 'lost' something or got exposed or is overrated, or so on and so on.
No fighter can have an off-night on this forum, doesn't matter if it's Pacquaio, Mayweather, Matthysse, Ward, Martinez, Cotto, etc. If Lara loses to Canelo, you'll see the same thing. If the fight is close, you'll hear the same thing anyway.
you're only as good as your last fight brah
This is embarassing now.
The reason he looked off was because of Maidanas awkward style, styles make fights and thats just the way it goes.
He still won clearly...end of.
Silly reds, when will they learn?
I don't see much difference in Floyd's physical abilities, what I saw a decline in was his pop and accuracy. Even in most of the counters he was hitting Maidana with, they weren't as explosive as you'd see in the replays in every other Mayweather fight.
This could simply be a case of having trouble with Maidana's style, not 'looking old'.
Timmy
Thurman
Porter
And khan are licking their chops.
O though ,Khan doesnt have the pop or chin at 147 to beat floyd, make it
fun yes ,but Not win.
Floyds declining
Reflexes,foot speed,stamina.
Focus is all in decline

Floyd did look old and slow, especially in the early rounds.
Maidana's style also give Floyd a lot of problems because he's so unorthodox, can't wait to see the rematch which will sell 1.5M+.if he kept that pace up in the early rounds, he wins this fight, it was a close fight, i had it a draw, but maidana could of actually pulled it off when he was like a 13 to 1 underdog
