Al Haymon does NOT build stars!

Yea he is the thief who takes fighters and allows them to make the most money they have ever seen...show me one fighter who complained about Haymon....ILL WAIT....only people complaining are bitter internet posters They go with Haymon cause they know they have Cherry Pick fights and the judges in their back pocket. OP is 100% right Al Haymon is costing SHO money like he did on HBO with Berto And its clear that SHO is losing money. Alot of reporters said that the Guerrerro fight had to do 1 million just to break even and it did way less. 850k is good for a PPV but not when you guarantee a guy $40 mill (even tho he had to pay for all advertising so he ended up making about $10-15 mill) This is why theres no nationwide press tour for the Maidana fight even tho its on PPV (which is a joke because hes a 10-1 underdog)

True, but the reason people point to Al being so big in boxing is his ability to build star fighters. Al Haymon is selling a product to networks. Why would they over pay for a product that clearly is not working?? Showtime is losing money like crazy and not getting anything in return. Haymon is a manager. He doesn't promote or build stars, but sure, he has a say in matchups. GBP and Haymon have matched plenty of their stars tough, and will continue to do so. A string of a moth or two of soft come back fights and people flip out. GBP is the future of the sprt whether people like it or not. Not top rank.

Al may not build stars, but he sure has a knack for getting them star level money. I am sure the guys who have flocked to him are not complaining. How he does it I am not really sure, especially as he can no longer get networks bidding against each other. I mean if Showtime suddenly decided to tighten their belt, it could definitely cause issues.

Ya'll are complaining about matchups??? matchups is what the promoters do,not the advisors...are ya'll just making stuff up? We actually pay attention and realize that Haymon is far from just an "advisor" He is practically running Showtime.
