And no what I am saying is no matter where Calzaghe is from the fact will remain that he has fought 3 Top 5 ranked fighters his entire career and that's ranked universally. So no matter where he was from he'd still get the same criticism that he does now. To compare Calzaghe's to Mayweather's is ridiculous. Mayweather's resume at 130 and 135 alone is deeper than Calzaghe's entire resume.

It's actually striking how similar their records are in this regard. They both have unattractive fighting styles as well, but the same people who say "Ewww, Calzaghe, slapping for points, that's not fighting" are the ones who say "Man Floyd may be boring but he's a defensive technician! who on frauds resume can compare to beating Jones and Hopkins? he didn't beat Hopkins and Roy was past it after he got ko'd by tarver and johnson

Floyds past prime guys like Oscar, Mosley, mayve Cotto were all still Top ranked figgters at those weight classes.

I agree. calzaghe fight the best and still undefeated while floyd duck the best to be undefeated.

what about kessler and bika? Kessler was great, but if Bika is one of Joe's best wins then Floyd has plenty of fighters on his record who are far better than him. Giorgio Vargas is just one.

Floyd's best wins: Corrales (unbeaten), Castillio (2nd), Zab Judah (prime), Hatton (unbeaten), Marquez, Guerrero and Miguel Cotto. Calzaghe: Lacy (unbeaten), Kessler (unbeaten) and Hopkins. If you take their best wins with fighters who were not over the hill then its quite clear Mayweather > Calzaghe any day. I haven't mentioned Oscar or Gatti cuz they were done and same with Eubank and Jones for Calzaghe.
